A. Preface: There is this Chinese saying!
1. Aggravate a general strategy kills without seeing blood!
2. Aggravate a general works on good sensible people and usually result in suicide!
3. The tragedy is this! We all know suicide is the effective easy way to end aggravation!
B. Statistics show in America alone:
1. 2017 there were 14 million attempts.
2. Resulting in 47173 suicide deaths!
3. Suicide injury cost the US government $69 billion!
4. There are foundations for suicide prevention!
C. I searched on the web with this --> How many Jesus believers commit suicide?
1. No answer! But came up with this --> Can a Christian commits suicide?
2. The answer is --> Their ‘Christian’ can commit suicide!
3. Some quoted Ro.8:38-39 saying committed suicide Christians can go to heaven!
4. There is this message from Christianity Today: (Their long time popular publication!)
Sadly suicide occurs among Christians at essentially the same rate!
5. I’d rather the web’s answer is blank! That would be wonderful news!
6. To me the best answer is irrelevant, ignorant and dumb question!
How can any human on earth think of this dumb question!
7. Our Christians can never commit suicide!
Because our Christians are real Christians!
Real Christians are Christ like people!
Christ like people will never commit suicide!
D. Clear teaching about suicide in the Bible!
1. Take heed unto yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit hath made you bishops,
to feed the church of Christ which he purchased with his own blood. Ac.20:28
***Church of Christ is a group of saved people gather to worship God together on Sunday!
2. Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? 1Cor.3:16
3. If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him;
for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple. 1Cor.3:17
***This instruction alone is enough to prevent suicide!
4. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you,
whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price.
Therefore honor God with your body. 1Cor.6:19-20
5. Therefore, the perfect suicide prevention is believed Jesus in the churches of Christ!
The 14 million people believe Jesus in the church of Christ in 2017!
The 47173 people would still be alive. American Government saved $69 billion!
What a shame to those did not believe Jesus in the church of Christ!
E. Apostle Paul told us why we live!
1. According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed,
but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body,
whether it be by life, or by death. Phil.1:20
2. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Phil.1:21
3. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labor: yet that I shall choose I wot not. Phil.1:22
4. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ;
which is far better: Phil.1:23
5. Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. Phil.1:24
6. And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance
and joy of faith. Phil.1:25
F. In the church of Christ we live with joy together! Ro.15:30-32
1. I urge you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit,
to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me. Ro.15:30
2. Pray that I may be rescued from the unbelievers in Judea and that my service in Jerusalem may be
acceptable to the saints there, so that by God's will I may come to you with joy and together with you
be refreshed. Ro.15:31-32
