A. This is a two way street!
1. Bible says: Titus 3:10
To a denomination person, warn him once and warn him the 2nd time! After that have nothing to do with him.
2. Denomination says: If possible, kill them! Otherwise stay away from them. They are heretic!
3. The Jews embraced this view point: We are disciples of Moses! Jn.9:28
4. 2000 years ago! The Jews succeeded in killing Jesus and His disciples!
5. In a family father brain wash children! Do not talk to the one whose teaching is not the same with what I teach!
B. These happen to themselves and their children! Matt.13:10-15
1. The disciples came to Jesus and asked: Why do you speak to the people in parables? Matt.13:10
2. He replied: The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Matt.13:11
3. In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: `You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. Matt.13:14
4. For this people's heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.' Matt.13:15
5. This is why people refuse to reason with what Bible says!
6. But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. Matt.13:16
7. Our stand point is what says in the Bible! Yes, is the name of your church in the Bible?
C. Classic example in the Bible! Jn.9:1-34
1. As Jesus went along, he saw a man blind from birth. Jn.9:1
2. His disciples asked him: Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind? Jn.9:2
3. Jesus said: Neither this man nor his parents sinned,
but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life. Jn.9:3
4. They brought to the Pharisees the man who had been blind. Jn.9:13
5. Now the day on which Jesus had made the mud and opened the man's eyes was a Sabbath. Jn.9:14
6. Therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight.
The man replied: He put mud on my eyes, and I washed, and now I see. Jn.9:15
7. Some of the Pharisees said: This man is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath.
But others asked: How can a sinner do such miraculous signs?
So they were divided. Jn.9:16
7. Then they asked him: What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes? Jn.9:26
8. He answered: I have told you already and you did not listen.
Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples too? Jn.9:27
9. Then they hurled insults at him and said: You are this fellow's disciple!
We are disciples of Moses! Jn.9:28
*** They had chosen their stand point --> We are disciples of Moses!
10. We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don't even know where he comes from. Jn.9:29
11. The man answered: Now that is remarkable!
You don't know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes. Jn.9:30
12. We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly man who does his will. Jn.9:31
13. Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a man born blind. Jn.9:32
14. If this man were not from God, he could do nothing. Jn.9:33
15. To this they replied: You were steeped in sin at birth; how dare you lecture us!
And they threw him out. Jn.9:34
D. Here we have two opposite stand points: Jn.9:16
1. Jesus was not from God because he heals the blind man on Sabbath day!
2. Jesus was from God because he heals the man born blind!
3. At this point the Pharisees refused to reason further!
4. They had chosen to put down the man and cast him out!
E. Conclusion:
1. Jesus’ stand point: Heal the sick on Sabbath day is lawful!
2. Pharisees stand point: Heal the sick on Sabbath day deserve to be killed!
3. Jesus said Pharisees were hypocrites! Whose stand point will you stand!
May the Lord bless us all always! Preach this September 29, 2019.
