Boast: Foolish things in the world can know the truth in the Bible!
For 1500 years the wise in the world cannot know the truth in the Bible!
A. Main Scriptures for this study: 1Cor.1:27-31
1. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise;
God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 1Cor.1:27
2. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things-- and the things that are no --
to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. 1Cor.1:28-2
3. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—
that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 1Cor.1:30
4. Therefore, as it is written: Let him who boasts boast in the Lord. 1Cor.1:31
***The word translated as foolish things means unschooled people!
Such as Peter and John were called unschooled people!
They became able to written books in the Bible!
B. Who knows the word denomination hid under the word divisive!?
1. This simple ignorance caused billions of souls went to hell!
2. Have you ever count how many “Bible scholars” in the Roman Catholic Church!?
3. How many highly educated scholars in all these denominations?
4. The NIV people alone claimed they have 115 Bible scholars!
None of their wise men know the truth in 1Thes.5:23!
5. They wrest John’s writing to their own destruction! 2 Peter 3:16, Jn.8:31
6. Yes, boast in the Lord, we are granted to know and remember what says in 1Thes.5:23
7. We also know what may happen to each part of human at death of the body!
8. We boast: By the grace of God we are granted to know the truth about the salvation of the souls!
9. Denomination is warped, sinful and self-condemned!
C. Lowly things of this world what does it mean?
1. Lowly things of this world are unschooled church of Christ people on earth!
2. Yes, it is because we are in the church of Christ!
3. Our lives are hidden with Christ in God!
4. Thus we become the wisdom of God! We are perfect as the heavenly Father is perfect!
5. This is our boast in the Lord!
D. Who else know this besides us?
1. What do Acts 9:17 and 18 mean?
a. Scriptures as recorded in NIV Bible -->
Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said:
Brother Saul, the Lord-- Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—
has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Ac.9:17
Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul's eyes, and he could see again.
He got up and was baptized. Ac.9:18
b. They argue about Ananias called Saul brother!
c. They argue about Saul got filled with Holy Spirit first or got baptized first!
2. We are granted to remember Saul himself said in Acts 22:16 and Peter said in Acts 2:38!
We solve the problem once for all time!
3. Give them 1500 years, they will never know! Why? Read Matt.13:10-15
4. Yes, Saul was saved when he got up and got baptized!
E. In light of Heb.6:4-6 what does James 5:19-20 mean!
My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back,
remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover
over a multitude of sins. James 5:19-20
1. Wander from the truth and someone should bring him back…. James 5:19-20
2. It is impossible to bring him back… Heb.6:4-6
3. Heb.6:4-6 is about departed from church of Christ!
4. James 5:19-20 is about wander from the mode of living which Christ set for us!
Such as false brothers, enemies of the cross within the church of Christ!
F. Conclusion: Yes, we boast in the Lord so the world will see and come join us!
May the Lord bless you and keep you always! Preach this October 20, 2019.
