Be ready to be burn in hell!
Main Scriptures for this study: John 15:5-7 and 1Cor.12:12-14
A. John 15:5-7
1. Jesus said: I am the vine; you are the branches. Jn.15:5
If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
2. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers;
such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. Jn.15:6
3. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. Jn.15:7
B. Lessons we learn:
1. Saved people are connected with Christ!
2. Branches are saved individuals!
3. The way to remain in Christ is being a part of the church of Christ!
4. Once a saved person leaves the church of Christ he is destined to be burn in hell!
5. The way to remain in Christ is “my words remain in you”!
Now are you ready to come to Bible study?!
C. 1 Cor.12:12-14
1. The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many,
they form one body. So it is with Christ. 1 Cor.12:12
*** This one body is the church of Christ! Eph.1:22-23
All saved people are parts of this one body!
Christ is the head of this body! This corresponds with Romans 12:4-5!
2. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body-- whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—
and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 1Cor.12:13
***All saved people are baptized into Christ! Gal.3:27
Saved people are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sins… Ac.2:38
Here it says, all saved people are baptized into one body, the body of Christ!
***The one body of Christ is abstract! The church of Christ is tangible!
Given the one Spirit to drink means feed with words in the New Testament Bible!
This is why churches of Christ keep preach and study the Bible!
3. Now the body is not made up of one part but of many. 1Cor.12:14
***The body, the church is not made up of one individual saved person!
The body, the church is saved people come together for worship to God. 1Cor.11:18
D. All saved people are in the body, the church!
1. The body, whose body? The body of Christ!
2. The body, the church, what church? The church of Christ!
3. Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,
by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body. Heb.10:19-20
4. Yes, his body, Christ body, the church, church of Christ!
E. Conclusion: Leave the church of Christ? Be ready to be burn in hell!
1. Say believes Jesus but not worship in church of Christ?
Jesus said these people belong to Satan! Jn.8:31-44
2. Repeat what Jesus said:
If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers;
such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. Jn.15:6
a. “If anyone does not remain in me” this is abstract!
b. Be a part of the church of Christ! This is tangible!
c. “Does not remain in me” means not a part of the church of Christ!
3. Leave the church of Christ is like branch thrown away and withers!
God granted only people in church of Christ to know the truth!
Once a person left the church of Christ they will not know the truth!
Even what they may have learned while in church of Christ!
What they learned they will forget! Forever true on this one!
4. Such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned!
This can only mean be burn in hell!
5. Please be saved! Never leave the church of Christ! Preach this November 3, 2019.
