Subject: Apprehension! The capture of ideas in the Bible!

A. Apprehension can mean the capture of a criminal!
We are talking about capture ideas in the Bible!
Why people in the world can’t capture correct ideas in the Bible?
B. Who can capture these ideas?! Eph.3:10-13
1. His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known
to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, Eph.3:10
2. according to his eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. Eph.3:11
3. In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. Eph.3:12
4. Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory. Eph.3:13
***** Through the church, what church?
***Who are the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms?
C. Why even church of Christ people do not capture these ideas? Acts 9:17-18
1. Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said,
Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou came,
hath sent me, that thou might receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Ac.9:17
2. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales:
and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. Ac.9:18
D. Why the world missed to know these ideas! Jn.1:10-13
1. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. Jn.1:10
2. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. Jn.1:11
3. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them
that believe on his name: Jn.1:12
4. Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Jn.1:13
E. Ac 10:44 While Peter yet spoke these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all them that heard the word.
Ac 10:45 And they of the circumcision that believed were amazed, as many as came with Peter,
because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Ac 10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
Ac 10:47 Can any man forbid the water, that these should not be baptized,
who have received the Holy Spirit as well as we?
Ac 10:48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.
F. They grasped these!?
1. Ro 10:13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
2. Jn 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
3. Eph 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—
and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast.
4. He then brought them out and asked: Sirs, what must I do to be saved? Ac.16:30
They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-- you and your household. Ac.16:31
5. They are dead set to follow the example of the saved thief on the cross! Lk.23:42-43
Then he said: Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. Lk:23:42
Jesus answered him: I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise. Lk.23:43
