A. Here are four major reasons:
1. Invisible! Can't even feel it!
2. No pain, no hurting feeling!
3. No immediately physical symptom it may take few days to show!
4. When shortness of breath started, most part of lung is gone already! Death arrived fast!
5. A young lady doctor in Indonesia was tested with Covid-19!
Husband said to her: I am sure. Ah La will heal you! Two days later she died!
B. Why so hard to save a soul!
1. Yes, Bible is clear the soul that sinned is the one who will die in Hades! Eze.18:20
2. It is easy and simple! All this soul needs to do is believe and be baptized! Mk.16:16
3. Yes, devoted to the Apostle’s teaching may be a long road to walk! Ac.2:42
4. Sunday worship is one thing to consider too! Heb.10:24-31
5. The consequence of not believe is eternal suffering in Hell! Rev.20:12-14
C. There are differences!
1. In Covid-19 there is no immediate physical symptom it may take few days to show!
When a soul sinned there is immediate physical symptom! Guilty feeling!
2. The level of guilty feeling may different depend on how often sins had been committed!
3. Invisible! Some sins are invisible but most are visible!
Such as everything is permissible for me but not everything is beneficial!
Everything is permissible but I will not be mastered by anything!
Such as lying may be invisible but it is hearable!
4. When shortness of breath started, most part of lung is gone already!
This is why death arrived so fast!
5. I conducted many funeral services for the central funeral home down the block!
I thought this may be one occasion people can be touched with the rich man and Lazarus story!
6. I told this story after a person is dead, saved soul goes to paradise. Unsaved soul goes to Hades! Lk.16:22-23
But not one soul came to church because of those services!
7. Rest in the bosom of the Lord is most often seen in condolence displaced posters in funeral service!
It is sad to see people deceiving each other this way!
8. May be the story say the beggar Lazarus goes to paradise!
Did not say what did he do deserve to be in paradise! (Died as a beggar can go to paradise?)
9. I explain each man has a soul. After dead of the body, saved soul goes to paradise, unsaved soul goes to hell!
Spirit returns to God who gave it! The body will be buried after this funeral service! Ecc.12:7
D. About salvation of the soul people only want to deceive each other!
1. 1975 we started the Chinese learning children program! At one time over 380 children in classes!
2. Some from far away. Some from immediate neighbor!
One of this has children in our class for 6 years! So they know us!
3. A few years back his wife died! He asked me if I would help conduct his wife funeral!
At times we visited them and study with them in their home! Not for one time he came to church!
4. Why do people do things like this! I will never fully understand this one!
Never been to church, never wanted to have anything to do with church!
But at time of death they want a preacher who is qualified to conduct funeral for them!
5. Yes, Jesus was appointed to judge the living and the dead! Ac.10:42
But I do not see there is salvation for the soul after dead of the body!
E. How many of these Covid-19 death souls go to paradise!?
1. I pray, Mr. Boris Johnson get well! He is in intensive care unit right now because Covid-19!
2. There were 1,332,492 got Covid-19. Death toll is 73,872. (April 6, 2020)
Don’t ask me! I do not want to guess! How many of these go to paradise and how many go to Hades!
F. Conclusion: I will repeat what Apostle Paul said! 2Cor.6:1-2
1. As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain. 2Cor.6:1
2. For he says: In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.
3. I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation. 2Cor.6:2
4. When Covid-19 is over, door opens, we will be ready to baptize you for forgiveness of your sins! Ac.2:38
5. Right now, we pray God permit not Covid-19 enter your door! Stay home help save life!
May God grant you good health and peace! Preach this April 12, 2020.
