Believe Jesus?
A. Think about these:
1. Think about the last 100 years what Euro believers did!
2. Think about South Korea’s 80% believers and 70% of these are Presbyterians!
3. America is a Jesus believe nation? But what do you see? Yes, IN GOD WE TRUST printed on all currency!
B. Watch Hosea described how people behaved 2750 years ago! Hos.4:6-12
1. My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.
Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests;
because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children. Hos.4:6
2. The more priests increased, the more they sinned against me;
they exchanged their Glory for shame. Hos.4:7
3. They feed on the sins of my people and relish their wickedness. Hos.4:8
4. And it will be: Like people, like priests.
I will punish both of them for their ways and repay them for their deeds. Hos.4:9
5. They will eat but not have enough; they will engage in prostitution but not increase, because they have
deserted the Lord to give themselves to prostitution, to old wine and new, which take away the understanding
of my people. They consult a wooden idol and are answered by a stick of wood.
A spirit of prostitution leads them astray; they are unfaithful to their God. Hos.4:10-12
***Normal minded people know these described today’s Western “Jesus believers”!
Wearing mask is one fulfillment of 4:7!
C. Think what John wrote! 1Jn.5:1-4
1. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he
gave the right to become children of God-- children born not of natural descent,
nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. Jn.1:12-13
2. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him;
he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. 1Jn.3:9
3. Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.
Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 1Jn.4:7
4. Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God,
and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. 1Jn.5:1
5. This is how we know that we love the children of God:
by loving God and carrying out his commands. 1Jn.5:2
6. This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of
God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 1Jn.5:3-4
7. I told you that you would die in your sins;
if you do not believe that I am, you will indeed die in your sins. Jn.8:24
D. Read what Paul said! 1Thes.3:2-4
1. We sent Timothy, who is our brother and God's fellow worker in spreading the gospel of Christ,
to strengthen and encourage you in your faith, so that no one would be unsettled by these trials.
You know quite well that we were destined for them. 1Thes.3:2-3
2. In fact, when we were with you, we kept telling you that we would be persecuted.
And it turned out that way, as you well know. 1Thes.3:4
3. In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,
while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 2Tim.3:12-13
E. Read what Peter said! 1Peter 5:8-9
1. Be self-controlled and alert.
Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1Pet.5:8
2. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are
undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 1Pet.5:9
3. Above all, you must understand that
no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. 2Pet.1:20
4. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along
by the Holy Spirit. 2Pet.1:21
5. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters.
His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort,
as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction. 2Pet.3:16
F. Conclusion:
Jesus believing people or place is full of righteousness, faithfulness …
