but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. 1Tim.4:12

wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Eph.4:14

C. Be sure not to be these people! Heb.3:15-17

1. As has just been said:

Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion. Heb.3:15

E. Conclusion:  Be the transformed people! Ro.12:1-8

1. Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices,

holy and pleasing to God-- this is your spiritual act of worship. Ro.12:1

2. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-- his good, pleasing and perfect will. Ro.12:2

3. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you:

Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment,

in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. Ro.12;3

4. Just as each of us has one body with many members,

and these members do not all have the same function. Ro.12:4

5. So in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. Ro.12:5

6. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.  If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in
