A. Works that make you a member of the church of Christ. Ac.2:47
1. Believe Jesus is the Lord and Christ! Ac.2:36
2. Repent and be baptized for forgiveness of sins and receive gift of the Holy Spirit! Ac. 2:38
3. The Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God. Ro.8:16
4. Apostle Paul also put it this way! Heb.10:19-20
Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,
by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body.
***It takes the works of God for people to know:
a. The Most Holy Place is where holy priests meet with God!
b. His body is the body of Christ and the body of Christ is the church of Chris!
c. God has chosen this is the time that we all know these truths!
d. To meet with God in the Most Holy Place is through the church of Christ.
B. In the saving of souls!
1. Works of God is to be perfected with man’s personal works! No other is able to do it for you!
2. To all Jesus’ believers, Peter declared: With many other words he testified, and exhorted them, saying:
Save yourselves from this crooked generation. Ac.2:40
3. They then that received his word were baptized:
And there were added to the church of Christ in that day about 3000 souls. Ac.2:41
4. They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship,
to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Ac.2:42
C. Jesus declared: None can drop out of the church of Christ but oneself!
1. Yes, not even Satan itself!
Lion can be roaring around all over in the jungle! All I need is a machine gun with plenty bullets!
2. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. Jn.10:27
***This is a forever perfect test for all “Jesus believers”! None can pretend!
You know the church name in the Bible is church of Christ!
Why are you not in church of Christ?
They can give tons of reasons but determine not to be in church of Christ!
3. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. Jn.10:28
4. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all;
no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. Jn.10:29
5. I and the Father are one. Jn.10:30
*** Reality and what Bible says! By the grace of God, I declare:
Give me a chance! I still yet to lose one time in the defense of a Lord’s little lamb!
I can give my opponent in advance so they can prepare themselves!
All I need is this little question: Is the name of your church in the Bible?
Think! How can this little question be so powerful!
Read Luke chapter 8 and see what a legion of demons do when come face to face with Jesus!
D. Only oneself is able to depart from the church of Christ!
1. For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome,
the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 2Pet.2:20
2. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness,
than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 2Pet.2:21
3. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb: The dog is turned to his own vomit again;
and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. 2Pet.2:22
E. Conclusion: Open visible works that show saved souls:
1. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;
but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Heb.10:25
2. For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth,
there remain no more sacrifice for sins. Heb.10:26
3. But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation,
which shall devour the adversaries. Heb.10:27
