A. What a mother has to go through to have a child?
1. 1 Tim.2:15--> Women will be saved through childbearing—- if they continue
in faith, love and holiness with propriety.
This means a mother may lose her life in childbearing!
2. Lk.21:23--> “How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and
nursing mothers!
For a mother it is dangerous to have children in time of trouble!
3. 1 Thes.5:3-->While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly,
as labor pains on a pregnant woman and they will not escape!
Mother has to suffer much pain to give birth to a child!
4. Rev.12:2--> She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth.
5. 1 Tim.5:10--> Enroll a widow who is well known for her good deeds, such as bringing up children, …
It is a mother’s responsibility to bring up her children!
6. 1 Thes.2:7--> We were gentle among you, like a mother caring for her little children.
(A mother is to care for her little children!)
7. Pro.29:15--> The rod of correction imparts wisdom, but a child left to himself disgraces his mother.
A mother is to correct her children to impart wisdom!
A mother cannot afford to leave her child to himself!
8. 2 Tim.1:5--> Paul to Timothy--> I have been reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in
your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.
A mother is to pass on her sincere faith in the Lord to her children!
B. Children’s responsibility to their mother.
1. Eph 6:1-3--> Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is one Righteous thing which a child of God
must do! "Honor your father and mother"-- which is the first commandment with a promise-- "that it may
go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth."
2. Col 3:20--> Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.
3. If you think that you are a child of God please read this carefully!
1 John 3:10--> In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil:
whosoever does not do righteousness is not a child of God, neither he that loves not his brother.
C. What did parents do to rebellious children in Moses time?De.21:18-21
If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them
when they discipline him, his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate
of his town. They shall say to the elders, "This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us.
He is a profligate and a drunkard." Then all the men of his town shall stone him to death. You must purge the
evil from among you. All Israel will hear of it and be afraid!
D. What is the present situation in the world? Matt.15:1-9!
Yes, people in the world ignore the command of God and do what they please.
I, as a child of God, ignore the tradition of man and follow Jesus!
What are you going to do? Make the choice and be ready to reap the outcome!
