It is to be absolutely none!
A. Main Scripture for this study: 1Thes.5:23
1. And the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire,
without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2. Christ is the judge! 2Tim.4:1
In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, …
3. Christ will judge according to New Testament truth! Jn.12:47-48
As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him.
For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it. There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does
not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day.
B. Flee not run!
1. But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said unto them,
Ye offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Matt.3:7
2. Flee from false preachers! Jn.10:5
And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
*** Have to know New Testament Truth!
3. Wherefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry. 1Cor.10:14
4. Flee from the love of money! 1Tim.6:10-11
The love of money is the root of all evils! 1Tim.6:10
But thou, O man of God,
flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. 1Tim.6:11
5. But flee youthful lusts,
and follow after righteousness, faith, love, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2Tim.2:22
6. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body.
But he that commit fornication sin against his own body. 1Cor.6:18
7. Lust of the flesh be fulfilled with getting married! 1Cor.7:1-2
Now for the matters you wrote about: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. 1Cor.7:1
But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife,
and each woman her own husband. 1Cor.7:2
C. Paul’s final instructions to the church! 1Thes.4:1-8
1. Finally then, brethren, we beseech and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that, as ye received of us how ye ought to
walk and to please God, even as ye do walk,-- that ye abound more and more. 1Thes.4:1
2. For ye know what charge we gave you through the Lord Jesus. 1Thes.4:2
3. For this is the will of God, your sanctification, that ye abstain 567 from fornication. 1Thes.4:3
*** “Abstain” means to hold one's self off!
4. That each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, 1Thes.4:4
5. not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who know not God; 1Thes.4:5
6. that no man transgress, and wrong his brother in the matter: because the Lord is an avenger in all these things,
as also we forewarned you and testified. 1Thes.4:6
7. For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification. 1Thes.4:7
8. Therefore he that reject, reject not man, but God, who give his Holy Spirit unto you. 1Thes.4:8
D. God is not mocked! Gal.6:7-10
1. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sow, that shall he also reap. Gal.6:7
2. For he that sow unto his own flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption;
but he that sow unto the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap eternal life. Gal.6:8
3. And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Gal.6:9
4. So then, as we have opportunity, let us work that which is good toward all men, and especially toward them
that are of the household of the faith. Gal.6:10
E. Don’t refuse to love the truth!
1. And even as they refused to have God in knowledge, God gave them up unto a reprobate mind,
to do those things which are not fitting. Ro.1:28
2. Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity,
with a continual lust for more. Eph.4:19
3. If you refuse to love New Testament truth, God will make sure you be in hell! 2Thes.3:10-12
