Your activities add or lighten burden on other people?
A. Eat meat or vegetable? Ro,14:1-18
1. Each said the other is bad!
2. According to what I can see people around me eat vegetable is better!
3. I eat more meat than vegetable! I am 81 and still pretty good!
4. Biblical advise is not to judge!
5. The church of Christ is not about eating and drinking!
6. Church of Christ is about righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit! Ro.14:17
7. Live well and long to glorify God is the point!
B. Kentucky Chicken or bitter melon rice?
1. I love K.C. a lot more than bitter melon rice!
2. I choose to eat bitter melon rice for lunch last two weeks!
3. I ate every piece of bitter melon and show it to my wife!
4. She was happy! Others were happy too!
5. Because they want me to live healthy and long!
6. It was very bitter! But I still ate them all!
7. Eat bitter melon is better than medicine!
C. The Way they call heresy! Ac.24:14
1. Jesus said my sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me! Jn.10:27
I give them eternal life... Jn.10:28
2. The Way and voice are same rules to regulate human behavior!
If we apply Jesus' rules in life! Jesus promised to give us eternal life!
3. James declared the way can save souls! James 1:21
4. Who were "they" that call the Way heresy?
5. They were Pharisees and Sadducees!
John the Baptist called them generation of vipers! Matt.3:7
6. Generation of vipers said Jesus Way was heresy!
7. I imitate Paul as he imitates Christ! 1Cor.11:1
D. Pick corn to eat on Sabbath day! Matt.12:1-8
1. At that time Jesus went on the Sabbath day through the cornfield; and his disciples were hungered,
and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. Matt.12:1
2. Pharisees saw it and said: It was unlawful!
3. To Jesus it is lawful! Because Jesus is Lord of Sabbath!
*** Who will you listen?
E. Worship God Saturday or Sunday!
1. In China Saturday people say Sunday people will be in hell!
2. Sunday people continue to worship on Sunday and say nothing to Saturday people!
*** Who is right?
1. In O.T. time people worship on Sabbath day!
2. In N.T. time people worship on Sunday! Acts 2:1-47, 20:7
3. Jesus said: For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. Matt.11:13
4. According to Apostle Paul Saturday worshipers will be in hell! Ro.7:1-4
5. O.T. law takes people to hell! Jesus believers practice N.T. law. 2Cor.3:6
F. 29 years Chinese and Bible children program was good thing!
1. Building next to us complained to authorities many times!
2. Authorities were on our side! Everything was lawful!
3. We are in commercial zoning! They can't stop us! But they hated us!
4. Watching many children grew up to be able citizens of America!
It was good thing for the person, family, society and the nation!
5. Still there were old American men and women hated it!
G. Conclusion:
1. Church of Christ is about saving souls the Bible way!
2. In church we can obey God rather than men! American constitution guarantee to this!
