Anger is a sickness! Is there an anger vaccine? Thank God we have covid-19 vaccine!
A. Scriptures for this study: Jn.10:27-28
1. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. Jn.10:27
2. I came that they may have abundant life! Jn.10:10
3. I give them eternal life; and they shall never perish.
No one shall snatch them out of my hand. Jn.10:28
*** This means genuine Jesus believers do not quit the church of Christ!
B. Case study: Why did he do it? May 26, 2021.
Why didn’t he quit instead? I thought about this many times!
1. In California a worker shot dead 8 co-workers and himself!
2. Reported reason was unfair distributed work load!
3. The man was angry over 10 years! He shouted: I will kill my co-workers!
4. This is a classic case!
He gave Satan a foothold to work in him! Plan to kill for a long time! Eph.4:27
C. I know each one of these following!
1. I was over loaded with works for 4 years in late 1960s!
"You try to steal my church?" was enough to make me quit!
2. Immediately I resigned chosen to quit! I work only for the church of Christ!
3. Why didn't this man quit and move on?
4. Possible reasons:
a. Can't find other work pay and benefits better or match!
b. This was the only work he love doing!
c. Hoping time and people change things become better to bear!
d. May be I can endure until I retire with good retirements!
e. His supervisor dislike him trying to make him quit!
f. Co-workers did not try to ease the problem!
g. May be he was a born loner!
h. Why didn't he just commit suicide!
He decided to take 8 other lives with him!
5. Whatever happened!
The end result is well known! He killed 8 and himself!
D. This one voice could save these 9 lives!
1. Be ye angry, and sin not: Let not the sun go down upon your anger. Eph.4:26
2. Literally practice this in daily life!
It could save all these 9 lives.
You also live healthier and longer! Abundant life Jesus came to give!
3. This man disobeys this voice over 10 years!
And he gave Satan a foothold to work in him! Eph.4:27
4. This one voice worth all "troubles" attending Bible study and Sunday worship in church of Christ!
E. These voice can defeat your adversaries!
But you have to be a genuine believer in the church of Christ!
1. There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man:
But God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able;
but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1Cor.10:13
2. Mind set --> I can overcome! Ac.14:22-23
Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith,
and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. Ac.14:22
3. And when they had ordained them elders in every church,
and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed. Ac.14:23
4. How much we need qualify men to become elders in the church!
F. See hardship as opportunity to become a better me! James 1:2-4
1. My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into diver temptations. James 1:2
2. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith work patience. James 1:3
3. But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:4
4. In my life this is what I said recently!
All these years I needed those hard trainings! I am forever thankful to my Father in heaven!
G. Conclusion: Here I am still preaching God’s word! So you may have abundant life in Jesus!
