Say: ‘God bless America’ is sin?
A. For these 3 God bless America!
1. A blue law: No business, no work on Sunday so all can go to church of Christ worship God!
2. On all currency printed: IN GOD WE TRUST!
3. Every school day begin with a prayer and read Bible verses!
Naturally all say: God bless America!
B. America is of the people, for the people by the people!
These kinds of people!
1. People worship God in church of Christ on Sunday!
2. People live by what Bible says!
3. People work hard with their own hands and help each other!
??? Behold America how many do these above 3???
Still say: God bless America?
Donate billions for many other “good” things!
Donate how much for people who do all things for the gospel of Christ?
Still say: God bless America?
What did you do and what are you doing?
Not even worship God in church of Christ on Sunday?
Still say: God bless America?
C. Old time Americans remember these scriptures! Heb.10:25-31
1. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is.
But exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Heb.10:25
2. For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth,
there remain no more a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment,
and a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries. Heb.10:26-27
3. A man that hath set at nought Moses law dies without compassion on two or three witnesses:
of how much sorer punishment, think ye, shall he be judged worthy, who has trodden underfoot the
Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant wherewith he was sanctified an unholy thing,
and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace? Heb.10:28-29
4. For we know him that said: Vengeance belongs unto me, I will recompense.
And again, The Lord shall judge his people. Heb.10:30
*** Attention to these 3 has!
Has trodden underfoot the Son of God.
Has counted the blood of the covenant an unholy thing.
Has done despite unto the Spirit of grace.
*** Jesus came to earth to establish the church of Christ. Matt.16:18
Jesus shed his blood to purchase the church of Christ. Acts 20:28
Jesus believers come together in one place to worship is the church of Christ! 1Cor.11:18 Ac.2:1
5. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Heb.10:31
*** Think: God is love! How can fall into the hands of a God who is love be a fearful thing?
6. Yes, even a God who is love will punish those forsake Sunday worship more severely!
D. Covid-19 and Delta serve as a test of faith!
1. Many “churches” closed for good! Their believers found a good reason not come together in one place!
2. Church is believers come together in one place for worship!
3. When the day of Pentecost (Sunday) came, they were all together in one place. Ac.2:1
4. On the first day of the week we came together to break bread.
Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight.
There were many lamps in the upstairs room where we were meeting. Ac.20:7-8
5. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Eph.4:30
