Great blessings money cannot buy!
A. Proverb 14:30
A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.
This was written 2760 years ago! All medical doctors agree with it!
Nothing is better for the health of one’s body than a calm and peaceful heart!
B. Proverb 16:7
When a man's way is pleasing to the LORD,
he makes even his enemies live at peace with him.
By the grace of God, this one, we have personal experience to prove
30 years ago when we moved into this building there were about 15 to 20 gangs
in both side of this building!
We prayed hard to God for wisdom, strength, and courage to reason with them
with the truth in the Bible! Later they either grow up from being gangs or move on!
2 or 3 years ago, I met one of the worst near Queen’s college!
I recognized him and he remember me!
I walked up to him and call him name.
Hi, you grow up become so big and strong,
I am glad I did not fight you 20 some years ago!
Otherwise, what would I do today!
He said exactly the same way after he got to know what kind of a man I am.
He said, “Mr. Chan, Sir, I never want to fight you! No, Sir!”
My wife told me, one time when I was preaching in China,
he happened to come by and saw my wife talking to some people in the front of
this building, he came and asked my wife, Mrs. Chan everything o.k.?
C. Make no mistake about Acts 3:19
Repent and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out,
that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.
1. ‘Times of refreshing’ is with Christ as king,
everyone lives in peace, no worry of oppression, no crime,
no war, no debt, no one to bully you, those blessed days on earth!
2. It is only when people repent and turn to God so that their sins may be wiped out!
Sin is cancel in the soul!
It is like one has cancel in his body there is no days of refreshing for him!
3. Times of refreshing may come from the Lord!
Times of refreshing do not come from having lots of money, lots of weapons…!
As we can see, nations may have lots of nuclear bombs or lots of money,
but there is no times of refreshing in their country!
Please forever remember, times of refreshing come from the Lord!
4. If you want to have a time of refreshing, look no further,
you must repent and come to God, so that your sins may be wiped out,…
D. Heb.2:1-3
We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard,
so that we do not drift away.
For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience
received its just punishment, how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation?
This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord,
was confirmed to us by those who heard him.
So please do not ignore such a great salvation!
Repent and turn to God today!
When a house is living in peace, everything else flourishes!
