It is correct to rebel against corrupted religious tradition!
A. Christians are to obey every ordinance of a local government! 1 Peter 2:13-14
Be subject to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake:
whether to the king, as supreme; or unto governors, as sent by him
for vengeance on evil-doers and for praise to them that do well.
Please let no one say, this or that government is not doing God’s will or whatsoever!
It is precisely, because there may be a government that is not to one’s liking!
That is why the scripture says: for the Lord’s sake!
“Be subject to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake” period!
If you don't think a certain government's ordinance do not worthy of your obedience,
then you obey them for the Lord's sake!
This means Christians must obey all government ordinance!
B. Rebel against corrupted religious authority! Acts 4:19, 5:29
1. But Peter and John replied, "Judge for yourselves whether it is
right in God's sight to obey you rather than God!” Acts 4:19
2. Peter and other apostles replied: We must obey God rather than men!
3. One who do not know the above 2 scriptures are about Peter and John
rebelled against religious authority should never be in preaching!
C. Jesus set example to rebel against corrupted religious tradition!
1. Exodus 31:15
For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest,
holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.
2. Mark 3:1-5
And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there who had his hand withered.
And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day;
that they might accuse him. And he said unto the man that had his hand withered, Stand forth.
He said to them, is it lawful on the Sabbath day to do good, or to do harm?
to save a life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
When he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved at
the hardening of their heart, he said to the man, stretch forth your hand.
And he stretched it forth; and his hand was restored.
D. Here is one reason to rebel against corrupted religious tradition!
1. Gen. 2:7
And Jehovah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed
into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
2. Gen.4:1-4 Adam’s children worship the God who created them!
Logically, if all children follow their parents in worship to God,
we all would still be worshiping the very same God today!
3. Any other religious tradition that is not worshiping the God, the same way is corrupted!
All who are under such corrupted religious tradition have to rebel against it,
in order to come back!
4. Such as myself, my parents are in the tradition of worshiping idols!
In order to come back to worship the same God, Adam and all original
ancestors worship, I have to rebel against my parents tradition!
This is the one correct reason to rebel against religious tradition!
Because their religious tradition has been corrupted!
This means an ancestor had rebel against the one original religious practice and
came out to establish their man made religion!
It is correct to rebel against the rebelled tradition!
It is correct to rebel against worshiping false gods and come back
to worship the same creator God!
E. 2000 years ago Jesus established the church! Matt.16:18
I also say unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will
build my church; the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
1. It is simple logic! Jesus called it “my church”, all other should
call it church of the Lord Jesus Christ! Or as Apostle Paul put it
in Romans 16:16 all the churches of Christ salute you!
2. All the saved people are in this church of Christ! Acts 2:47
The Lord added to the church day by day those that were saved.
3. The church in the Bible was called the church of the Lord which
Christ purchased with his own blood. Acts 20:28
4. Naturally, if all children did not rebel against their parents, all saved people
would still be in the same churches of Christ!
Logically, someone some where along the time had rebelled against the Lord and their
parents and come out to establish their man made church!
Therefore, anyone who is not in a church of Christ has to rebel against their corrupted
religious tradition to come back to the original church!
This is the one correct reason to rebel against corrupted religion!
5. As for myself, I had to rebel against my parents corrupted religious tradition!
Then I had to rebel against my teachers corrupted denomination practices!
Here I am in a church of Christ that is determined to follow what says in the
Bible and we dare to welcome challenges from any where in this world!
