How do you grow in your salvation?

How do you grow in your salvation?

A. Acts 17:11-12

Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians,

for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see

if what Paul said was true.

Many of the Jews believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men.

1. The thing that impressed Paul about the Bereans Christians saying that they were of more noble character

was that they received the message with great eagerness and examined te scriptures every day to see it

   what Paul said was true!

I wish so much all the “Christians” will do the same!

For I know if they do, the church of Christ will grow very fast!

Because that way they will know all the denomination churches are not preaching

according to what is recorded in the Bible!

And that only the churches of Christ around the world are preaching according what is recorded in the Bible!

2. When more real Christians can take time to examine the scriptures they will grow and become able o teach others!

This way all the churches of Christ will grow in number and qualities!

As we can see, because of their doing so, many of the Jews believed,

as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men.

B. Do the right thing at the right time and in a right way! Ro.14:16-23

1. Do not allow what you consider good to be spoken of as evil.Ro.14:16

Do good thing in a right way and at the right time is important!

Your doing good thing may look not so good or even look bad!

Say hello to a brother or sister is always a very good thing!

But do it in a right way at the right time is important!

2. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but

of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone

who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by

   men. 14:17-18

3. Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to

   mutual edification. Ro.14:19

4. Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is

clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone

   else to stumble. Ro.14:20

5. It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else

that will cause your brother to fall. Ro.14:21

6. So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and

God. Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what he

   approves. Ro.14:22

C. Participation in church activities is essential! Eph.4:11-15

1. This is why God want to have workers in the church! Eph.4:11-12

He gave some (to be) apostles; and some, prophets; and some,

evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of

the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of

   the body of Christ.

2. We all can become full grown man in the church!Eph.4:13

Till we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge

of the Son of God, unto a full grown man, unto the measure of the

stature of the fullness of Christ:

3. This way we will not be fooled by denomination teachings!Eph.4:14

That we may be no longer children, tossed to and fro and carried

about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, in

craftiness, after the wiles of error; (ASV)

Eph 4:15 but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, (even) Christ; (ASV)

D. At the beginning this what we must do! 1 Peter 2:1-2

1. Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy,

envy, and slander of every kind. 1 Peter 2:1

2. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you

may grow up in your salvation. 1 Peter 2:2

Until all believers in the church can attend all Bible study

conducted in the church, this will never be accomplished!

E. 2 peter 1:5-11

2Pe 1:5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith        goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; (NIV)

2Pe 1:6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; (NIV)

2Pe 1:7 and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. (NIV)

2Pe 1:8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge        of our Lord Jesus Christ. (NIV)

2Pe 1:9 But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins. (NIV)

2Pe 1:10 Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall,

2Pe 1:11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (NIV)

May the Lord bless you and keep you always!
