The kingdom of God is within you. Luke 17:21
A. The kingdom of God is about the saving of the soul!
The soul is living within the body of you!
This is why the scripture says, the kingdom of God is within you!
B. The kingdom of God is about eternal life for the soul! Jn.12:23-25
1. For eternal life of the soul, Jesus had to die, bury and rise from dead.
2. It is like a grain of wheat, for it to bear much fruits, it must die, be
buried in the dirt so that a new plant come out to bear much fruits!
3. One who loves his physical life on earth so much that he does not want to
do anything for the life of his soul. He will lose his soul!
This is what Jesus said: He that loves his life loses it; and he that hates
his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal!
C. The kingdom of God is about living a new life on earth!
1. Acts 5:18-19à They arrested the apostles and put them in jail.
But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out.
"Go, stand in the temple courts," he said, "and tell the people the full message of this new life."
2. Romans 6:4à
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death
in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father,
we too may live a new life.
3. 2 Cor.5:16-17à So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view.
Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
the old has gone, the new has come!
4. Each individual has to make his own decision! Gal.2:20
a. Acts 2:40-42à With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them,
"Save yourselves from this corrupt generation."
Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to the
the church on that day. They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship,
to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
Yes, each one has to save him or herself by listening to message of this new life.
Each one has to take faith in Jesus, repent and request to be baptized for remission of sins
and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
b. Gal.2:20à I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.
The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God,
who loved me and gave himself for me.
After baptism each has to decide how he or she will live the new life!
D. Jesus must die for the soul to gain life eternal! Lk.9:18-25
1. Who do the crowds say I am? Luke 9:18
Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and others say a phophet. Luke 9:19
2. Who do you say I am? Luke 9:20 Peter replied: The Christ of God. Luke 9:20
3. If anyone would come after me,
he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. Luke 9:23
4. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it,
but whoever loses his life for me will save it. Luke 9:24
More interest is on life the soul!
5. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose his soul?
We know gain the whole world is for life of the body!
It is no good to gain the whole world and let his soul end up in hell!
Jesus told a parable for illustration! Luke 12:16-21
A man become so rich, he said to himself: You have plenty!
Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.
But God said to him: You fool! This very night your soul will be demanded from you! Luke 12:20
