What does "they worship me in vain" mean?
A. Attending church activities does do lots of good!
1. It is one effective way for illegal aliens to get legal status!
Immigration court calls attending church worship service as participate in religious activity.
At present time this is one easy and effective way to get legal status for illegal aliens!
So what does Mark 7:7--> ‘They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men' mean?
2. Church attending does foster good behavior people!
There is a popular saying--> all religions teach people to do what is good!
a. For example churches are famous in charitable works!
When people are in trouble they look for help from churches!
b. I heard someone told me, some people attend church worship is so they
can get acquainted with other people and become Majiang playing friends!
c. Churches also have out door activities …
Yes, in reality, attending church activities do have lots of good!
3. There is one deadly illogical thing happening in the world nowadays!
Religions have deadly defects that create physical destructions!
According to the world’s normal logic, when there is a few eggs that are harmful for human physical health.
They are required to destroy 1 billion eggs!
All eggs that may be connected with that few rotten eggs are to be destroyed!
It is well known in our day all religions have deadly defects to human lives!
But no one say, all religions are to be eliminated!
I remember long time ago, there were a few chicken that were harmful to human body and millions of chicken
were eliminated! I saw bulldozers digging big holes in ground and buried thousands of little chicken!
But as we all know all religions created deadly people whose lives are to destroy other human!
Why don’t the world eliminate religions as they did to eggs and chicken!
B. What does "they worship me in vain" mean?
Yes, what did Jesus mean, when he said:
‘They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.' Mark 7:7
1. 1 Thes.2:2-8--> We had previously suffered and been insulted in Philippi,
as you know, but with the help of our God we dared to tell you his gospel in spite of strong opposition.
For the appeal we make does not spring from error or impure motives, nor are we trying to trick you.
On the contrary, we speak as men approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel.
We are not trying to please men but God, who tests our hearts.
You know we never used flattery, nor did we put on a mask to cover up greed-- God is our witness.
We were not looking for praise from men, not from you or anyone else.
As apostles of Christ we could have been a burden to you, but we were gentle among you,
like a mother caring for her little children.
We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well,
because you had become so dear to us.
2. Gal.1:10
Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God?
Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.
3. One human grand reason for having denominations! 1 Cor.11:17-19
In the following directives I have no praise for you, for your meetings do more harm than good.
In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you,
and to some extent I believe it.
No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God's approval.
(See who become the largest denomination…!)
The larger denomination you are, the more you have God’s approval! (Wrong!)
May the Lord bless you and keep you always! Preach this on November 21, 2010.
