New Testament Bible on death.

         New Testament Bible on death.

A. Heb.9:27à

Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.

Believe it or not this is what the Bible says!

As for death of the body, we all accepted it as a fact of life!

No one can escape this death! Like it or not, we all have to face it!

As for judgment after physical death, please read on!

B. Rev.20:11-15à

   I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away;

and there was found no place for them.

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened:

and another book was opened, which is the book of life:

and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books,

   according to their works.

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead

   which were in them:

and they were judged every man according to their works.

And death and hell were cas into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

I know, even if you don’t! One who has to be judged by what he had done,

he will be tortured in this 2nd death!

C. Jesus confirmed the last two! John 5:28-30

"Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves

will hear his voice and come out--

those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned.

By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just,

for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.

a.     I know, even if you don’t, what kind of people afraid of just judgment!

b.     Here we know Jesus will be the judge and his judgment is just!

c.     One little suggestion for normal logical people to think about, what evil mean!

As you would others do to you, do so to others! Matt.7:12

Have you ever done a thing to others, which you don’t like others do to you?

If you did, you had done evil!

D. Have you ever heard an earthquake like this one! Rev.6:12-17

I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake.

The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red,

and the stars in the sky fell to earth,....

The sky receded like a scroll, rolling up,

and every mountain and island was removed from    its place.

Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty,

and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains.

They called to the mountains and the rocks,

"Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!

For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?"

E. Don’t be surprise, even evil spirit scare of this day! Lk.8:27-28

When Jesus stepped ashore, he was met by a demon-possessed man from the town.

For a long time this man had not worn clothes or lived in a house, but had lived in the tombs.

When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his voice,

"What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don't torture me!"

F. Now I know why Jesus said this! Matt.10:28

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.

Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

What to be scare is this “destroy” means suffering the 2nd death for ever!

G. Conclusion:

Now! Are you ready to believe and be baptized into Christ!?

May the Lord bless you and keep you always!

Now you know why I always end my sermon with this prayer!
