Marry or not marry what is the difference?
1. In Europe a grown up girl tells her brother, "I am getting married."
Her brother said, "Are you crazy? Everyone simply live together!"
2. A handsome young man came to talk to me one Wednesday evening.
I said, so and so, you grow up so handsome and well build!
Yes, Mr. Chan, I work out some too! Long time no see!
How nice that you still remember me and come to say hello!
Are you marry yet! No, but I have a love in girl friend!
What do you mean? We enjoy monogamous sex just like married couple!
Then you cannot believe Jesus! No, I have no intention to!
My brothers and friends, the world has chosen sex without marriage!
So what is the difference between married and not married?
A. This is what Jesus taught! Matt.19:4-6
He answered and said, Have ye not read, that he who made (them) from the
beginning made them male and female, and said, For this cause shall a man
leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife;
and the two shall become one flesh? So that they are no more two, but one flesh.
What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
1. The reason why God made male and female-->
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife.
This means if a man want to have sex, he goes to his wife to get it!
This also means sex is between a male and a female!
2. And the two shall become one flesh--> sex between a husband and his wife!
3. To be absolutely sure about this one we can read 1 Cor.6:16-->
Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body?
For it is said, "The two will become one flesh."
4. Marriage is for as long as you shall live!
What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.
This is why there is a Chinese saying, when comes to advise for married couple,
your advise is for reconciliation not separation!
I am all the time fearful for those who help separate a marriage!
Because they dare to separate what God has joined! They challenge God!
As for me, if I have to, I rather challenge Satan then challenge God!
B. There is this thing called marriage! Heb.13:4
Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure,
for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
1. Marriage should be honored by all.
This means, whether you believe in God or not, all must honor marriage.
2. There is this thing called marriage bed should be kept pure!
This is the place where husband and wife have sex.
This means when comes to have sex, you must make sure that is your wife!
The consequence of this mistake is as high as going to hell forever!
3. Unmarried people have sex is called fornicators or adulterers!
4. The scripture makes it clear. God will judge!
Remember my last Sunday sermon on debt collection after Autumn?
God is the one who will punish fornicators and adulterers! Rev.21:8
C. Marriage is not all about sex!
1. It is also to learn how to live and care for others not just yourselves!
A married man is concerned about the affairs of this world--
how he can please his wife -- 1 Cor.7:33
2. Marriage is so that a man may have a family for learning how to serve the Lord
in the church in a leadership capacity! 1Tim.3:2-4, 3:12.
3. Marriage is between a believer and another believer! 2Cor.6:14-15.1cor.7:39
Do not be yoked together with unbelievers.
For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common?
Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
