The gap between the rich and the poor!
People think that is the cause of unrest in the world!
A. I think these are the problems!
1. Godliness with contentment is great gain! 1 Tim.6:6
Lack of respect for God is a problem!
When people have respect for God, they will have respect for others!
When people have respect for God, the rich will share, not oppress the poor!
When people have respect for God, the poor will not envy nor rob the rich!
There is no unrest in the world! People may not even see there is a gap between the rich and the poor!
2. The love of money is the problem! 1 Tim.6:9-10
People are minded to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and hurtful lusts,
such as drown men in destruction and perdition.
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil; with some reaching after have been led astray
from the faith, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
(I believe what the Bible says is truth!)
3. But you, man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love,
patience, meekness. 1 Tim.6:11
I guarantee, when men have these virtues, there is no unrest anywhere!!!
B. Lack of knowledge and laziness is the problem! Hosea 4:6
1. My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God,
I also will ignore your children. Hosea.4:6
2. Laziness is the problem!
He becomes poor that worked with a slack hand; but the hand of the diligent make rich. Pro.10:4
I like to know why a man is poor!
When he is a child in school did he work hard?
Did he do home work first or went play right after school is over …
To make the story short, let me give you a real story of my life!
1974-1978 I worked for Chinatown Manpower Project! One day my director told me to do placement!
An older gentleman came in! Order me to find him a management job in a major bank.
I said, you are 60 years old now! How long have you been in Chinatown?
He said about 40 years. I said, I learned those been here this long had made lots of money and
enjoying good life.
Why are you still looking for a job!?
He said, I did make lots of money but I fed all my money to the OTB.
I said, without a 2nd thought. So you have fed the OTB for 30 years, now is time for OTB to feed you!
You know what happened next! He cursed me and almost messed up my office!
But this is to tell you about what I think in real life!
C. Build weapon rather than preach the gospel is the problem!
They think have the most powerful destructive weapons is the way to peace!
1. Jesus said: Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that does not believe shall be condemned.
Mk.16:15-16 This is the way to peace!
2. Just think, if people in this world, spend money to help people believe Jesus and live as children
of God like they spend money to build their destructive weapons, what this world would be like!
3. One of the nations spend 585 billion U.S. dollar on defend in 2011!
Thinkà there are 900 billion U.S. dollars each year ear mark for preaching the gospel of Christ
around the world, how the world would look like!
D. Conclusion:
I know this is the biggest problem! Acts 8:32-33
In humiliation his justice was deprived! Who can declare his generation!
Like to see evil people hide in caves? Do justice!
Pro.21:15à When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.
