What kind of people may say this kind of words?
A. What kind of words?
This is the kind of words-->
“So that with good courage we say, the Lord is my helper; I will not fear:
What shall man do unto me?” Heb.13:6
From the word “so that” we know there are reasons in front of it.
We must study 13:1-5 to find reasons!
1. Let love of the brothers continue. Heb.13:1
Brothers in the church must practice love for one another!
2. Do not forget to show love for strangers.
For thereby some have entertained angels unawares. 13:2
These strangers are brothers from other churches whom we did not meet!
By the grace of God, for decades, not one was able to fool me, on this one.
The trouble is we may not have time or they refuse to study Bible together!
The secret to tell is this!
They use traditional chain link to explain what says in the Bible.
That is the most common Bible people use for years!
We use the way Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians chapter two!
3. Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; them that are ill-treated,
as being yourselves also in the body. Heb.13:3
***It is about in bonds for Christian living not because of crimes!
4. (Let) marriage (be) had in honor among all, and (let) the bed (be) undefiled:
for fornicators and adulterers God will judge. Heb.13:4
***All married and unmarried people must be free from sexual sins!
Honor marriage and keep the marriage bed pure is one reason for people to become able to say:
The Lord is my helper, I shall not fear!
Dishonor marriage or defile the marriage bed will unsettle the soul and
make man unable to live in peace! For sexual sin not just against the two individual
it also sin against God and many other people connect to them!
Man knows this is very serious subconsciously!
They also have to worry about sexual sicknesses and baby may be born…!
5. Be ye free from the love of money; content with such things as ye have:
for himself hath said, I will in no wise fail thee,
neither will I in any wise forsake thee. Heb.13:5
(1) Be ye free from the love of money.
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil: which some reaching after
have been led astray from the faith, and have
pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Tim.6:10
(2) Be content with things God had given you.
(3) Have faith in God’s promised:
I will in no wise fail you, neither will I in any wise forsake you.
6. It is after all the above have been done, then we come to 13:6!
“So that with good courage we say, the Lord is my helper; I will not fear:
What shall man do unto me?”
7. Conclusion on what we study so far:
Living on earth, with the Spirit within guiding us through the truth in the
Bible with love for each other in the church, honor marriage,
keep marriage bed pure, have faith in God’s promise,
then with confidence we say:
God is our helper, we shall not fear! What can man do to us!
This is the meaning of Hebrews 13:6!
So that we can say with confidence, the Lord is our helper, we shall not fear!

B. Anyone remember my 1st sermon of the year 2011?
On January 2, 2011 the theme was: Who may say: Thank God, praise the Lord?
1. Whenever I heard people who refuse to worship God according to what says in the Bible
on Sunday and keep saying thank God praise the Lord, it always sadden me and frustrate me!
2. Because Jn.8:31-44 says, if one claim to believe Jesus but refuse to do the will of God,
Jesus called them children of the devil!
3. Because Matt.7:21-23 says, only those who do the will of God will enter the kingdom of God.
As a result to those who claim to preach in Jesus’ name, cast out demons in Jesus’ name
and do many mighty works in Jesus’ name, Jesus called them devil doers!
4. The point is that they know these scriptures and I told them so!
People can ignore what says in the Bible and living a life keep saying thank God,
praise the Lord!
C. Conclusion:
Good things always come with a price! To live in peace we must be able to say:
The Lord is my helper, I will not fear. What can man do to me?
No money can buy this blessing! We can only get it by saying:
Lord, I believe. Please help me with my unbelief! Mark 9:24
