How shall we pray?

How shall we pray? Matt.6:9-13

Jesus said: After this manner therefore you pray. Matt.6:9

1. Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be your name.

   Mk.12:28-32--> The 1st of all commandments is The Lord our God is one.

   Ro.8:16--> The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.

   Acts 2:38--> Peter said to them, repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ

   for the forgiveness of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

   1 Jn.3:10--> In this the children of God are manifest, and the children the devil:

   whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother.

   Gal.3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

2. Hallowed be your name.

   Matt.23:9--> Call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

  (Mark 12:28-32)

3. Thy kingdom come. 6:10

   Matt.16:18--> I also say unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church;

   and the gates of Hade shall not prevail against it.

   Eph.2:19 So then ye are no more strangers and sojourners, but ye are fellow-citizens with the saints,

   and of the household of God.

4. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so on earth!

   1 Jn.5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments:

   and his commandments are not grievous.

5. Give us this day our daily bread. 6:11

   Matt.6:31 So do not worry, saying, `What shall we eat?' or `What shall we drink?' or

  `What shall we wear?'

   Matt.6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

   Each day has enough trouble of its own.

   Lk.12:29-31--> Do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it.

   For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them.

   But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

6. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 6:12

   And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you?

   Even sinners' lend to `sinners,' expecting to be repaid in full.

   But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back.

   Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the

   ungrateful and wicked. Luke 6:34-35

7. Lead us not into temptation, but rescue us from evil. For thine is the    kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. 6:13

   1 Cor.10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man.

   And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.

   But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

   James1:13-14 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God;

   for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no man: but each man is tempted,

   when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed.

   Acts 17:24-26 "The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth

   and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands,

   as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else.

   From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth;

   and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.
