Subject: How do you detect the devil speaks through human mouth?
Main scripture for this study: Matt.5:37
Simply let your yes be yes, and your no be no; anything beyond this comes from the devil.
1. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the devil. Mt.6:13
2. Rev.20:2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan,
and bound him for a thousand years.
3. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the devil.
Jn.17:15
4. Be self-controlled and alert.
Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8
5. Luke 8:28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his voice,
"What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don't torture me!"
6. Matt.16:21-23 From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem
and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that
he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.
Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. "Never, Lord!" he said.
"This shall never happen to you!"
Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan!
You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men."
7. Jn.8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire.
He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him.
When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
8. Acts 5:3 Then Peter said, "Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied
to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land?
9. 2Cor.2:9-11 The reason I wrote you was to see if you would stand the test and
be obedient in everything. If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him.
And what I have forgiven-- if there was anything to forgive-- I have forgiven in the sight of
Christ for your sake, in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.
10.But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny
the truth. Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil.
