To such belong the kingdom of God! Mk.10:13-15
A. Main scripture for this study: Mark 10:13-15
And they were bringing to him little children, that he should touch them:
and the disciples rebuked them.
But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation, and said unto them,
Suffer the little children to come unto me;
forbid them not: for to such belong the kingdom of God.
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child,
he shall in no wise enter therein.
1. From Eph.2:19 we know the kingdom of God is the church of Christ.
2. Here Jesus said: Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child,
he shall in no wise enter therein. Mark 10:15
How wonderful this is!
Read Mk.16:16 to a little child and see what they will respond!
He that believes and is baptized shall be saved.
He who believes not shall be condemned!
***At least, I know, a little child will not argue and say but Jesus did not say he who believes not
and baptized not
Read Acts 2:38 to a little child and see what happen!
Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins
and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
***A little child will not say: No, baptism is not for forgiveness of sins.
They will just repeat what you read to them!
B. Little child needs to be protected in the church! Eph.4:11-15
1. This is why the Lord put the newly saved into the church! Acts 2:47
2. So that little saved children may grow up in their salvation! 1 Pet.2:1-2
Putting away therefore all wickedness, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies,
and all evil speaking. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk,
so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.
C. Little child needs to grow up and become a full grown man!
1. And he gave some apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, to the building up of the body of Christ:
till we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God,
unto a full grown man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:
that we may be no longer children, tossed to and fro and carrier about with every wind of doctrine,
by the sleight of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error; but speaking truth in love,
we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ. Eph.4:11-15
2. Now in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and or silver,
but also of wood and of earth; and some unto honor, and some unto dishonor.
If a man therefore purge himself form these, he shall be a vessel unto honor,
sanctified, meet for the master’s use, prepared unto every good work.
But flee youthful lusts, and follow after righteousness, faith, love, peace,
with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Tim.2:20-22.
D. One special feature of a little child!
1. No falsehood! Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor,
for we are all members of one body. Eph.4:25
2. No falsehood! We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us;
but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth
and the spirit of falsehood. 1 Jn.4:6
3. No falsehood! Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers,
the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. Rev.22:15
