Believe or believe not what is the difference? John 8:47
A. He who belongs to God hears what God says.
The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God. Jn.8:47
From Jn.8:31-32 we know “hears what God says” means do what God says!
B. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil:
Whosoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother. 1 Jn.3:10
1. God is righteous:
He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you. Thes.1:6
2. Living a life that do righteousness is our natural instinct!
C. Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. Ro.14:19
How wonderful if all human follow this teaching!
D. "Everything is permissible"-- but not everything is beneficial.
"Everything is permissible"-- but not everything is constructive.
Let no man seek his own good, but his neighbor's. 1 Cor.10:23-24
1. If you know someone who practice this, you are truly blessed!
2. I have come to settle with this:
If people in the world able to take care of themselves, it would be a great relief for the society!
3. Please think: Is the society more peaceful with you or without you?
E. 2 Cor.5:15-16 He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves
but for him who died for them and was raised again.
So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view.
Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.
1. Believe Jesus means no longer only live for ourselves! We live for Christ and for each other!
2. We do not regard people from a worldly point of view!
We regard people from a spiritual point of view!3. Yes, we live by faith in the Son of God! Gal.2:20
F. Eph.2:19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people
and members of God's household.
1. So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, you must no longer live as the Gentiles do,
in the futility of their thinking. Eph.4:17
2. We are citizens of the kingdom of God. We are members of the church of Christ
as children of God and children of light! Eph.5:8
G. Eph.4:28 He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands,
that he may have something to share with those in need.
1. We believe what says in 2 Thes.3:10--> For even when we were with you,
this we commanded you: If anyone will not work, neither let him eat.
2. Let as many as are servants under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor,
that the name of God and the doctrine be not blasphemed. 1 Tim.6:1
H. 2 Cor.2:15-16 For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.
To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life.
And who is equal to such a task?
Our task is un-matched by human task!
Not even one who is able to build a flying object that can carry bombs to hit any target
any where on earth within an hour!
