What done in O.T. and what do in New Testament?
1. Deu.18:20
A prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say,
or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death.
James 3:1 Be not many (of you) teachers, my brethren, knowing that we shall receive heavier judgment.
Gal.1:8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you,
let him be eternally condemned!
2. Lev.20:1
If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable.
They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.
Ro.1:26-27 For this cause God gave them up unto vile passions:
for their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature:
and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another,
men with men working unseemliness, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due.
3. Num.18:7
Only you and your sons may serve as priests in connection with everything at the altar and inside the curtain.
I am giving you the service of the priesthood as a gift.
Anyone else who comes near the sanctuary must be put to death."
1 Peter 2:5 Like living stones, you are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood,
offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
4. Lev.3:7-8
If he offers a lamb, he is to present it before the LORD.
He is to lay his hand on the head of his offering and slaughter it in front of the Tent of Meeting.
Then Aaron's sons shall sprinkle its blood against the altar on all sides.
Eph.5:1-2 Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love,
even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us,
an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of a sweet smell.
Phil.4:18 But I have all things, and abound: I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things
(that came) from you, and odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God.
5. Ex.31:15
For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD.
Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.
Heb.10:25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting;
and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh.
For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth,
there remain no more a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment,
and a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries.
A man that hath set at naught Moses law die without compassion on two or three witnesses:
of how much sorer punishment, think ye, shall he be judged worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God,
and hath counted the blood of the covenant wherewith he was sanctified an unholy thing,
and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
6. Lev.20:10
If a man commits adultery with another man's wife-- with the wife of his neighbor--
both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.
Heb.13:4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure,
for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.
7. James 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.
Gal.5:3 Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law.
May the Lord bless you always!
