Spiritual feast 13. December 9, 2011.
Subject for this study: How does an evil heart of unbelief form?
Scriptures for this study:
1. Main scripture for this study:
Heb.3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief,
in departing from the living God. (KJV)
2. Luke 12:15
And he said unto them: Take heed, and keep yourselves from all covetousness:
for a man's life consist not in abundance of the things which he possess.
3. Col.2:8
Take heed lest there shall be any one that make spoil of you through his philosophy
and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
4. Gal 5:15
But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
5. 1 Cor.10:12
Wherefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.
6. James 1:13-15
When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me."
For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;
but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.
Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin;
and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
Question: How does one’s evil desire form?
7. Luke 21:34-36
But take heed to yourselves, lest haply your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting,
and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day come on you suddenly as a snare:
for shall it come upon all them that dwell on the face of all the earth.
But watch ye at every season, making supplication, that ye may prevail to escape all these
things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
8. Eph.1:18
I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order
that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of
his glorious inheritance in the saints.
