What kind of people do we wish to draw? Jn.6:44.
A. Scripture for this study: John 6:44
No man can come to me, except the Father that sent me draw him:
and I will raise him up at the last day.
B. Church of Christ is the assembly of the righteous! Palms 1:1-6
1:1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.
1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.
1:3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.
1:4 Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.
1:5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
1:6 For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.
C. Church of Christ is the assembly of the children of God!
1. If I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God's household,
which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth. 1 Tim.3:15
2. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil:
whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother. 1 Jn.3:10
3. Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace,
along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.2Tim.2:22
4. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking,
but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Ro.14:17
D. Life eternal connection is not forsaking our own assembling together!
1. European “Christians” connect to “their churches”
by giving a tenth of their income to that church!
They don’t even bother to write a check!
They simply let the government deduct a tenth of the income and
send to their church automatically each year!
2. According to what I know it is by not forsaking Sunday worship
a saved person is connected to the church.
Read Heb.10:25-29 and you will know!
3. The most important item in Sunday worship is taking the Lord’s supper!
The Lord’s supper is eating the bread and drink the grape juice in the cup!
Which is the flesh and blood of Christ according to 1 Cor.11:23-29.
4. Jesus said: I am the living bread which came down out of heaven:
if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever:
yea and the bread which I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world.
The Jews therefore strove one with another, saying,
How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
Jesus therefore said unto them, Verily, verily,
I say unto you, except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man
and drink his blood, ye have not life in yourselves.
He that eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life:
and I will raise him up at the last day. Jn.6:51-54
E. Conclusion:
When people are draw into the churches of Christ these will happen: Ps.33:5
1. God loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love. Ps.33:5
2. Suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God,
and saying: Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace among men in whom he is well pleased. Lk.2:13-14
