Blessed is the man.

Feast 15. Dec., 15, 2011.

Subject: Blessed is the man.  (Who do you think is the man?)

Scriptures for this study: Ps.1:1-6

1. Ps.1:1

   Blessed is the man that walk not in the counsel of the ungodly,

   nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful.

Question: Who do you think is the man?

2. Ps 1:2

   But his delight is in the law of the LORD;

   and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Question: How one is to maintain being a blessed man?

Question: Is this day and night means 24 hours day?

Think about Ps.51:5 stretches expression to make the point!

Think about 2 Cor.11:4 negative reverse expressions to make the point!

The point is how do we know this? Why did God allow us to discover?! Pro.2:7

Ps.51:5 I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

2 Cor.11:4 For if he that come preach another Jesus, whom we did not preach,

  or (if) ye receive a different spirit, which ye did not receive, or a different gospel,

  which ye did not accept, ye do well to bear with (him).

3. Ps.1:5

   Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,

   nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

Question: How do we know the congregation of the righteous is church of Christ?

4. 2 Cor.6:14-17

   Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:

   for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?

   and what communion hath light with darkness?

   And what concord hath Christ with Belial?

   or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

   And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols?

   for ye are the temple of the living God;

   as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them;

   and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

   Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, said the Lord,

   and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

5. Eph.4:11-13

   It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets,

   some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,

   to prepare God's people for works of service,

   so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity

   in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature,

   attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Eph 4:17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord,

   that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do,

   in the futility of their thinking.

6. Jude 1:17-21

   But dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold.

   They said to you, "In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires."

   These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.

   But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.

   Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord

   Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.

   Thanks for coming to study God’s word together!

May the Lord bless you and keep you always!  Written on December 16, 2011.
