Does this woman worthy of your doing these?
Scripture for this study:
1 Peter 3:7Wordà Husbands likewise, dwelling together according to knowledge as with a weaker vessel the wife,
assigning honor as indeed joint-heirs of grace of life, for the not to be hindered the prayers of you.
A. Having a wife comes with responsibility!
1. Dwelling together with your wife according to knowledge of the Bible!
You must know what the Bible says on how to dwell with your wife!
2. Physically your wife is a weaker vessel. You have to take care of her!
This means you are to do heavy stuff for her! Fight off bullies for her!
Some of things you like to do, she cannot match up, will you be frustrated!
3. Assigning honor due to her!
Remember it is you chosen to marry her! Her honor is your honor! She will reflect your personal honor!
B. Does she worthy to be your joint-heirs of grace of life?
1. Every day we live is grace of life! Acts 17:25-28
When we wake up in the morning take the first breath, our wives share that breath also!
Not her breath, yes, it is our breath!
When we are able to breathe, our wives breathe happily with us!
When we are not able to breathe on our own, our wives saddened and cry!
Can you imagine when she woke up and you lie there dead! How she feel?
2. Read Acts 17:25 then you know what I mean!
God is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything,
because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. Acts 17:25
Life and breath and everything we need to live are grace from God to us!
Our wives share that life and breath and everything with us!
3. From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth;
and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. Acts 17:26
Wherever you live your wife is going to be there also! Are you ready?
You have to pray that you and your wife live as long as you live!
Either one die first the other would be saddened! Are you ready for that!
4. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him,
though he is not far from each one of us. Acts 17:27
For in him we live and move and have our being.
As some of your own poets have said, `We are his offspring.' Acts 17:28
5. May all human know this assuredly! James 4:13-15
Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city,
spend a year there, carry on business and make money." Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow.
What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
Instead, you ought to say: If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that.
C. Does she worthy to share eternal life in church and in heaven with you?
1. It is your job to make this happen! Acts 10:1-2
At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment.
He and all his family were devout and God-fearing;
he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly.
2. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people,
especially to those who belong to the family of believers. Gal.6:10
3. By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family.
By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith. Heb.11:7
C. If you can’t find such a woman, it is better you stay single! Matt.19:10-12
His disciples say unto him: If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry….
May the Lord bless you and keep you always! Jan., 29, 2012 preach this one!
