Are you fitted to enter the kingdom of God! Luke 9:62
Jesus said: No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God.
A. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together! Heb.10:25-29
1. The Lord added the saved into the church. Acts 2:47
2. The Lord Jesus Christ purchased the church with his own blood. Acts 20:28
3. The assembling ourselves together is the church, the body of Christ. Ro.12:5
When the saved stop assembling together the church is no more!
4. Therefore, forsaking the assembling of ourselves together is a willful act against the will of God
after we have received the knowledge of the truth.
5. The scripture continue to say--> there remains no more sacrifice for sins. Heb.2:26
But a certain fearful looking for of judgment… Heb.10:27
6. How serious is forsaking the assembling of ourselves together? Heb.10:28-29
a. It is a trodden under foot the Son of God. God sent Jesus to die for it!
b. It is a counted the blood of Christ an unholy thing. Christ purchased the church with his blood!
c. It is a done despite to the Spirit of grace. The Spirit of grace is to help keep the saved save!
d. Think about the punishment in Heb.10:28
He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under 2 or 3 witnesses.
How much sorer punishment should be for forsaking the assembling or ourselves together!
***Before you take the step to become a child of God, as Jesus said sit down and count the cost!
You must know that you are able to attend Sunday worship regularly! Luke 14:28
According to what I know, Satan had scored the greatest success in Europe on this one!
99% of “Jesus believers” have comfortably adopted the idea that they can just give 10% of their income to their church
and feel free to forsake meeting together to worship God on Sunday!
B. Let your yes be yes and your no be no! Matt.5:37
Jesus said, anything beyond this comes from the devil!
To be fitted for the kingdom of God, you must be able to lead a life without falsehood!
1. For example if you were an accountant do you have to make up false claim for your client?
2. If you were a business man, do you have to lie about the price of your merchandise?
The bottom line is this--> Can you lead an honest life!3. As Jesus said, liars are children of the devil! John 8:44
4. The Lord’s instruction through the pen of Apostle Paul is this-->
Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body. Eph.4:25
C. If you don’t think you can stay faithful to the end, think twice! 2 Peter 2:20-21
1. The scripture as recorded: If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end han they were at the beginning. 2 Peter 2:20
2. For it were better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than,
after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 2 Peter 2:21
3. One can just imagine, when you departed from the camp of the devil, and become a child of God!
Don’t bet on the mercy of the devil! If the devil practice mercy and welcome you back with its open arms!
The devil is not the devil!
Think about why its name is the devil!
4. Some how to this “they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning”!
At the beginning they die in their sins and may suffer eternal death in hell!
What can be worse than suffer eternal death in hell! See related article on this subject!
D. Conclusion:
1. Please remember the goal of faith in Jesus is the salvation of our souls! 1 Peter 1:8-9
2. The only way to attain this eternal salvation for our souls is to do the will of the Father!
3. Today I have presented 3 obvious will of the Father!
