A. scriptures for this study:
How shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation?
This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him.
God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will. Hebrews 2:3-4
B. Some careful listeners who had gone to many churches around the neighborhood had said to me
after they came to talk to me about what is in the Bible.
They realized that we are the ones who really preach what says in the Bible.
Thank God for all of these people! I firmly believe this too!
Therefore, we come to this subject-->
This church may be your last chance for salvation in the Lord!
C. Jesus told this parable. Matt.22:2-13
1. The church of Christ is likened to a certain king, who make a marriage feast for his son. 22:2
2. Sent his servants to call them that were bidden to the marriage feast; and they would not come!
3. Again he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them that are bidden.
Behold, I have made ready my dinner; my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready;\
come to the marriage feast. But they all refuse to come! 22:4-7
4. Then he said to his servants: Wedding is ready, but they that were bidden were not worthy. 22:8
Go ye therefore unto the partings of the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage feast.
And those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good:
and the wedding was filled with guests. 22:9-10
5. But when the king came in to behold the guests, he saw there a man who had not on a wedding-garment:
and he said unto him, Friend, how came thou in hither not having a wedding-garment?
And he was speechless. 22:11-12
6. Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and cast him out into the outer darkness;
there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth. Matt.22:13
7. This man was in the wedding feast! This means those who have come to church meetings!
They know what must they do to be saved in the Lord! But they did not do accordingly!
8. The point is this!
The king did not give him a second chance! He did not just let him go!
The king ordered him to be bound hand and foot, and cast out into the outer darkness;
there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth. Matt.22:13 This is Hades!
D. Here are some other scriptures that convey the same teachings!
1. Yes, we teach the truth and people tasted it!
Hebrews 6:4-6
For as touching those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift,
and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come,
and fell away, it is impossible to renew them again unto repentance; …
2. Yes, we teach this and keep teaching this! Hebrews 10:25-27
Not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting (one another);
and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh.
For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remain no more a sacrifice for sins,
but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries.
3. When people leave this church they had chosen not to love the truth! 2 Thes.2:10-11
And with all deceit of unrighteousness for them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause God send them a working of error, that they should believe a lie,
so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
4. Without one bit of uncertainty, I declared: Here we preach the truth in the Bible!
Anyone who came and chosen to leave this church, they had chosen not to love the truth!
