Man's life consist of being born, getting old, contracting sickness, death!
A. What man know about death is dead of the flesh!
1. Ecc.3:2 There is a time to be born and a time to die. this is about dead of the flesh!
2. From the Bible we know man has 3 lives, spirit, soul and body, the flesh.1 Thes.5:23
3. From Ecc.12:7, we know, when man died, his body returns to dust where it comes from and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
This scripture did not say anything about the soul.
4. Eze.18:20 say, the soul that sin it will die! From this we know when the body committed sin, the soul is punished!
5. Lk 16:22-24 The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried.
Lk 16:23 In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him,
`Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'
6. the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side.
The rich man died was buried. In Hades where he was in torment....I am in agony in this fire.
Ecc 12:7 and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
B. Do not think man afraid to die, devil and his angels are more afraid to die!Mt 25:41
1. This is how i know the devil and its angels are more afraid to die in eternal fire!
"Then he will say to those on his left, `Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. (马太福音25:41节
3. Re 20:11-14 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.
2. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life.
The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.
The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done.
Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.
3. from above scriptures we know 2nd death in eternal fire is the lake of fire.
C. Jesus said, Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.
1. Mt 10:28 Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
2, apostle Paul afraid not dead of the flesh!Ac 14:19
Then some Jews came from Antioch and Iconium and won the crowd over.
They stoned Paul and dragged him outside the city, thinking he was dead.Ac 14:20
But after the disciples had gathered around him, he got up and went back into the city. The next day he and Barnabas left for Derbe.
Phil 1:21-23 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me.
Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far;
Paul knew the time of his death! 2 Tim.4:6-8For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness,
which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-- and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
3. Stephen did not afraid to die! Acts 7:50-60
While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit."
Then he fell on his knees and cried out, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them."
When he had said this, he fell asleep.
D. No one can escape dead of the flesh!
1.He 9:27 Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,
2. sooner or later all have to die! we can only pray for a good death not a horrible death!
3. I had seen one walking suddenly fell and died! I also saw one died after a very long horrible sufferings!
Jesus' death on the cross is the most horrible one!
4. Whatever one has to do, he must not end up in hell after dead of the flesh!
E. Yes, sooner or later one has to die but he must not die in his sins!
1. One died in sins will be judged according to what he had done!I can guarantee, one who has to be judged according to what he had done he will in in the lake of fire!
2. Jesus said: I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am, you will indeed die in your sins." Jn 8:24
3. You must believe Jesus is Christ, repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins and let the Lord adds you into the church
and stay there until the death your flesh! Acts2:47 and Rev.2:10
