What is the mountain of the Lord’s house?
Main scriptures for this study: Isaiah 2:2-4
Preface:
After 2nd world war, people were scared of war.
They tried to do things which they thought would keep war away from humanity!
In the one hand they set up United Nation to keep world peace.
In the other hand they knew United Nation is only good for a short period of time!
For long lasting peace on earth they have to seek the help of God!
That is establish the nation Israel!
They thought they had found the way recorded in Isaiah 2:2-4!
A. Here are the messages in Isaiah 2:2-4
1. All nations shall flow unto the house of the God of Jacob. (This is the God described in the Bible!)
2. God will teach us of his ways.
God has been teaching us for thousands of years, but will people listen and do his ways!
3. We will walk in his paths. (you see people walk in His paths yet?)
4. Out of Zion shall go forth the law.
This mean from the nation of Israel! This means the New Testament law!
5. The word of the Lord from Jerusalem. (This is Matt.28:18-20 and Acts 1:8!)
6. God shall judge among the nations.
Do you know how God may judge all nations?
I know it is when all nations are in the church!
7. God shall rebuke many people.
(But who will listen and abide by His judgment?)
8. They shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks.
We all know this is wonderful! No more war among people one earth!
All people have lots of things to eat, houses to live…. you name it, we have it, when there is no war!
9. Nations shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
This is everyone’s dream!
But we know, one nation, the U. S. spend over 500 billion for war!
B. So they establish the United Nation!
All people from all nations on earth join this nation to work and keep peace!
Yes, they had dissolved a few little wars!
C. They establish the nation of Israel!
1. They thought this would hasten the return of the Lord Jesus to establish a 1000 years kingdom!
2. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection:
over these the second death hath no power;
but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
3. They made the same mistake which the disciples did 2000 years ago!
a. After Jesus’ resurrection he talked to them about the kingdom of God, church of Christ. Ac.1:3
b. All they were thinking about was the kingdom of Israel! Acts 1:6
4. I can imagine, if the used the money and resources in building and keeping
the United Nation and the nation of Israel to establish churches of Christ all over the world,
the world would surely be in peace long time ago!
5. May the world forever remember,
Romans 14:17 is the way for world peace!
The churches of Christ (kingdom of God) is not eating and drinking,
it is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit!
6. Anyone desires peace on earth, let him do what Jesus said in Matt.28:18-20
And Jesus came to them and spoke unto them, saying:
All authority had been given unto me in heaven and on earth.
Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:
teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you:
and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.
7. I also know why they can’t understand these scriptures as we do!
God lays up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. Pro. 2:7
Have you heard others preach the way we do?
Have you seen nations do righteousness?
8. They were on the right track to discovered these scriputres!
It is a shame they had to misunderstand it!
Now that we have discovered the original meaning of it!
Will people accept it and come together to spread the gospel of peace
so that all nations may flow into the churches of Christ doing righteousness?
Let God be the judge (settle all disputes with what says in the New Testament Bible)!
When this happened, there would surely be peace on earth!
Please forever remember, when all nations flow into the churches of Christ doing righteousness, no more war!
After all nations flow into the churches of Christ doing righteousness,
people then can beat their swords into plowshares and beat their spears into pruning swords,
together to work the field granted us on this earth, there would be no poor people, no unrighteousness, no war!
9. The point is this--> when will people come together, give up war and using things for war to preach the gospel of peace?
Please make no mistable about this! God will make this come true!
Just that it would not be in our generation, not in the next few generations! I know some day it will happen!
Becaaue God is faithful and righteous, God is able to make his word come true!
