How to prevent Newtown kinds of tragedy from happening again?
A. Main scriptures for this study: Col.3:8-10
Now do ye also put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, railing, shameful speaking out of your
mouth: lie not one to another; seeing that ye have put off the old man with his doings, and have put
on the new man, that is being renewed unto knowledge after the image of him that created him:
1. Since Adam Lanza shot dead himself, his mother a principal, 5 teachers and 20 six and seven year
old children, American news paper, TV and Radio talk shows, having lots of talk about how to
prevent this from happening again!
2. Seems like they all talk about how to control guns!
The President appointed his Vice to lead the way to control guns from killing people!
I know all these are useless! The tragic event happened in Newtown is not about gun.
It is about anger and hatred in human heart!
B. To prevent this from happening again we have to know why this happened!
1. It is not about guns or how to shoot guns!
Adam Lanza went out to kill is not because he has gun available to him!
It is about too much anger pilled up within his heart! Up to the point he could not content it!
2. If people want to prevent and regulate, they don't regulate guns, they should regulate and control
people from doing things that stir up anger and hatred within human hearts!
3. Please do not wonder how I know this! Please don't say I am too presumptuous!
To eliminate anger and hatred from human hearts, people need to stop doing things that stir up
anger within human hearts!
C. To know this we have to go to Genesis 4:1 to know how human come into this world!
1. From this scripture we know human come from God by way of a man knew his wife and the wife
gave birth to him!
2. Since human come from God and where God is, we know he comes equipped with the sense of
justice, love, faithfulness and holiness!
For we know God is just, faithful, love, and holy! 1 John 1:9, 4:8, and 1 Peter 1:16.
3. Adam Lanza kind of human time bomb have one common feature which is being a loner!
Now, a month later, we have more reports about the life of Adam Lanza!
He came from a broken family, this means his parents were divorced!
He was described to be a loner! His mother already complained that she could not control him!
D. What are things that people do to stir up and pilling anger in his heart?
1. Anything that is contrary to righteousness, faithfulness, love and holiness are things that can stir
up anger and hatred within human hearts!
2. In Adam Lanza case mostly is his father and mother fighting each other until they were divorced!
We know it takes how much fighting between a wife and her husband that lead to a divorce!
3. Since his birth, each time his father and mother fights, his heart pilling up anger and hatred!
Unfortunately, at the same time if in school and his neighbors doing things that are contrary to
righteousness, faithfulness, love and holiness, he can抰 content, he exploded in Newtown at Sandy
Hook Elementary School!
4. From the writings in the Bible we know after a man and a woman became husband and wife and
how later they fights and end up in a divorce! In this process these two had done so much against
what is natural described in the Bible! They did so much things that stir up anger and hatred with
children抯 hearts and all other human hearts!
5. Here we can just mention two of these things! The husband and the wife failed to abide by what
says in the Bible to love each other! The husband and wife failed to obey what says in Eph.4:26!
This verse says, be angry but sin not and do not let the sun go down while you are still angry!
6. Any human who are married practice two teachings, there would be no fights between, no divorce!
7. I know if there were no fights, and no divorce in Adam抯 family, this tragedy would not happen!
