The mission of Jesus.
She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins. Matt.1:21
1. Jesus said: John 6:38
For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.
2. For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:40
3. How much God wants people to be saved? John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
4. Jesus build the church to keep and protect the saved people! Matt.16:18
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
5. Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. Acts 2:47
6. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. John 10:27-28
7. By the grace of God, I developed this phrase--> Is the name of your church written in the Bible? With this we can protect 99% of the sheep in the churches of Christ! The other 1% we have to depend on these scriptures! John 17:15-17--> My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.
8. As I have said, in my 47 years of preaching in the church of Christ, I have yet to lost one soul from the church where I serve as a minister! God’s word protect them, not I! I am nothing! Jesus promised: No one can snatch them out of my hand! John 10:28
9. Jesus promised to come back for the saved! John 14:3-6
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
You know the way to the place where I am going.
Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?"
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Yes, in the body of Christ, the church!
10. Encouragement from Apostle Paul. 1 Thes.4:16-18
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command,
with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.
And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.
11. This is reality! 1 Cor.15:51-56
Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed--
in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.
For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.
When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality,
then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."
"Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?"
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
12. This is how it is done! Col.2:12-14
Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God,
who hath raised him from the dead.
And you, being dead in your sins and the un-circumcision of your flesh,
hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses.
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way,
nailing it to his cross.May the Lord bless you and keep you always!
