How can I not become weary in well-doing?

How can I not become weary in well-doing? Gal.6:9

A. God did it not me!

1970 I was ready to give up in the “well-doing” in preaching the gospel of Christ!

God prepare an older couple to pick me up in Los Angel and drove me all the way to Abilene Tx.

There God prepared a professor to enroll me in school for my master degree.

An old elder in the church and an older sister in Christ to help me and my family along the way!

B. God did it not me!

By giving me a wife who is dedicated to serve the Lord all life long!

As you can see, even though she has lots of health problems but she constantly encourage me and help

do the Lord’s works in the church especially in being the best Bible class teacher!

As I said often, she constantly pray for me! Take care of me in every way in this life!

C. There are much things that can make me become weary in well-doing!

Yes, there is no mistake in the word much here! I don’t want to count how much things happened can

make me become weary in well-doing!

Here are a few outstanding ones:

a. The one who done a lot training me to preach God’s word according to the Bible was out to destroy me!

He almost succeeded it in 1970! Long story and long struggle for me!

b. Every week constant disappointments! There are people who came to church building and promised to

come to church to learn about believing in Jesus! Every Sunday they did not come!

c. Too many whom I helped grow up to help others do their works which is not according to the Bible, etc.

D. Here are scriptures that can help all of us not to become weary in well-doing!

1. When I have little money I bought junk VW van and enjoying in making it run for the Lord’s work!

2. When someone sent me a &15000.00 check I bought a new 15 seats van for the Lord’s work!

I enjoy driving it for a long time!

3. Here is the scripture--> Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have,

because God has said: Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. Heb.13:5

When I see Sister Hue, Sister Yeung, Sister Kwok, her mother, her sons and many others are here serving

God with me. I am thankful and be content with all who are here to serve the Lord with me!

Yes, my wife keep reminds me! We have God and that is enough! Please, be wise and listen!

40 years ago when we came to N.Y.C. we have one single purpose in mind and that is sharing the gospel of Christ so that people in this part of the world can be saved in the Lord! As for me, I am determined not to get rich with money! I puzzled myself! I was brought up in a short of money environment! How did I developed this not to love money character! God did it, not me! It is reality!

I learned to be thankful and be content for those who are here serving the Lord with me!

I will not let those who refuse to come serve God with me, tempted me to become weary in well-doings!

There are many here right now serving the Lord with me! It is hard to count!

4. Jesus got it much worse! Luke 10:13-16

Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been

performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. But it

will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you. And you, Capernaum, will you

be lifted up to the skies? No, you will go down to the depths. He who listens to you listens to me; he who

rejects you rejects me; but he who rejects me rejects him who sent me."

If you can’t remember this much, then just remember this--> he who rejects me rejects him who sent me!

5. 2 Cor.4:1-5--> Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. Rather,

we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of

God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's

conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel

of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as

Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake.

Conclusion:

1. Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the

work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Cor.15:58

2. Let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Gal.6:9

As for me, I don’t want to be bother with when is the due season!

May the Lord bless you and keep you always! Preach this on August 25, 2013.
