Who can rightly dividing the word of truth in the Bible?
Yes, 2 Tim.2:15 says study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Our study today is, how does anyone in this world able to rightly dividing the word of truth like this!
A. The word of truth in the Bible is written like this! Isaiah 28:9-13
1. Who is it he is trying to teach?
To whom is he explaining his message?
To children weaned from their milk, to those just taken from the breast? Is.28:9
2. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Is.28:10
3. For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. Is.28:11
4. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing:yet they would not hear. Is.28:12
5. But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line;
here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. Is.28:13
B. This is the kind of people and how! 1 Cor.2:10-12
1. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit:
for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God.
For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him?
Even so the things of God knows no man, but the Spirit of God.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God;
that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
2. 2 cor.4:1-2-->
Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we fait not:
But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness,
nor handling the word of God deceitfully;
but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
3. 2 Cor.4:5-6-->
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord;
and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts,
to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
C. This is how and why! 1 Jn.5:6-7, 1 Peter 4:11.
1. 1Jn 5:6 This is the one who came by water and blood-- Jesus Christ.
He did not come by water only, but by water and blood.
And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
2. 1Pe 4:11 If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God.
If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides,
so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.
To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
D. Otherwise why do you think we can link up these scriptures to rightly dividing the word of truth!

But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised,
being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed.
So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith.
Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law.
6. Matt.10:5-6-->
These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions:
Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans.
Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel.
7. Mk.16:15-->
He said to them: Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
8. Acts 1:8-->
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem,
and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
E. This is why God raised up the churches of Christ to become able to rightly dividing the word of truth!
1. Pro.2:7--> He lay up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
2. Ro.14:17--> For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
