‘Believe a lie’ what does it mean?
Scriptures for this study: 2 Thes.2:10-12.
By the grace of God, now you know not only I!
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish;
because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
***The original word ‘lie’ here means--> whatever is not what it professed to be. (Greek English dictionary #5579)
A. The NIV Bible can serve as one classic example!1. Their preface says:
a. From the beginning of the project, the committee on Bible translation held to certain goals for the NIV;
that it would be an accurate translation and one that would have clarity and literary quality...
b. The first concern of the translators has been the accuracy of the translation and its fidelity to the thought of the biblical writers…
2. The 23 ‘sinful nature’ translation in the New Testament Bible prove their claims are lies!

3. Proverb 2:7’s translation is another lie in the Old Testament Bible!
I have to say, I do not know much, but this little I know is enough to prove NIV Bible, the whole thing is a lie!
4. If you know how wide is the NIV Bible circulated in this so called Christianity world,
you know why Apostle John says-->
we know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.
Therefore, those depend only on NIV to follow Jesus have no chance to know the truth which can save their souls!
B. Believe that you believe Jesus but not do what Jesus said your believe is believe a lie!
Here are 2 points of the conversation between the having believed Jews and Jesus: John 8:31-44
1. Abraham is our father. Jesus answered: If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the things Abraham did!
2. The only Father we have is God himself! Jn.8:41
Jesus said: If God were your Father, you would love me... Jn.8:42
3. Jesus said: If you love me, you will keep my commandments! Jn.14:15
4. This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not Burdensome, 1 Jn,5:3
A. The truth can become a lie!
1Pe 1:2 who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father,
through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood:
Grace and peace be yours in abundance.
1Pe 2:5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood,
offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. (NIV)
1. Num 3:3 Those were the names of Aaron's sons, the anointed priests, who were ordained to serve as priests. (NIV)
Num 3:10 Appoint Aaron and his sons to serve as priests; anyone else who approaches the sanctuary must be put to death." (NIV)
Num 18:7 But only you and your sons may serve as priests in connection with everything at the altar and inside the curtain.
I am giving you the service of the priesthood as a gift. Anyone else who comes near the sanctuary must be put to death." (NIV)
The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles,
signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing.
They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe a lie and
so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord,
because from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.
2. Therefore, if you believe the claim in the NIV Bible’s preface, you have believed the lie!
B. Have you heard this saying?
All religions teach people to do what is good.
This believe is the lie!
Not all religions teach to do what is good!
In historic reality all religions are evil and wicked in one situation-->
At a time when they can kill others and no one can kill them, they kill others!
Pay attention to news and historic facts, then you will know! It still happens once a while some where on our world!
C. Have you heard people say, our church preach according to what says in the Bible too and we teach what says in the Bible.
This also is believing a lie.
Believe the lie what does it mean?
In taking official office ceremony laying their left hand on a Bible and raise their right hand swear to God...
Claim to believe Jesus and not do what he said is believing a lie!
Believe a lie, what does it mean?
The over all definition is this!
Believe anything which is not recorded in the Bible but in the same time think that they believe according to what says in the Bible!
Anytime one says, we believe Jesus according to what says in the Bible!
As far as I know all churches that do not has the name church of Christ is in this believe the lie!
Why is it so hard for people to change and come to the churches of Christ to believe Jesus according to what says in the Bible?
Believe a lie is the key!
When I say, why is it so hard for you to come to believe Jesus according to what says in the Bible?
Anyone who think or say, we believe Jesus according to what says in the Bible is believing a lie!
Here is another classic example of this believe the lie! 2Tim 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Fail to rightly dividing the word of truth is believe a lie! The NIV Bible is a classic example of this believe a lie!
