Can a cat and a dog preach the gospel of Christ?

Can a cat and a dog preach the gospel of Christ?

A. A cat and a dog can’t preach the Gospel of Christ!

1. This was what religious leaders said about Peter and John! Acts 4:13

Now when they beheld the boldness of Peter and John, and had perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men,

they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

2. This was what Jesus said about them--> Are you still so dull? Jesus asked them. Matt.15:16

3. How dull were they!? Acts 1:3 and 1:6

  a. After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive.

He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.

  b. So when they met together, they asked him:

Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?

B. Yes, Jesus sent them to preach the gospel to all creation! Mark 16:15-16

He said to them: Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

C. Jesus had to do these for them before they could go preach!

1. I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear.

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth.

He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.  John 16:12-13

2. On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command:

Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.

For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit." Acts 1:4-5

3. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you;

and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8

4. When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.

Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.

They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.

All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. Acts 2:1-4

5. Apostle Peter confirmed this! 2 Peter 1:3

Seeing that his divine power hath granted unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness,

through the knowledge of him that called us by his own glory and virtue.

(Please let no one tells you that they had received more from God!)

6. Apostle Paul put it this way! 1 Cor.2:10-13

God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him?

In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God,

that we may understand what God has freely given us.

This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit,

expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.

D. Armed with the above in mind, now we know the one correct biblical way to use Ro.10:9!

1. This is Romans 10:9 --> That if you confess with your mouth,

"Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Here is the short briefed form--> mouth confess and heart believe = salvation.

All who use this in preaching to all creation in the world are a cat and a dog!

2. This is the one correct way!

  a. To whom the message of 10:9 directed? To the saved saints in the church! Ro.1:7

  b. To those had been baptized believers!  Romans chapter 6!

  c. Why did Paul tell the baptized saved saints in the church--> That if you confess with your mouth,

"Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved?

  d. Some men came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the brothers:

Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved.

This brought Paul and Barnabas into sharp dispute and debate with them…. Acts 15:1-2

  e. Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes. Ro.10:4

May the Lord bless you and keep you always! Sept.22, 2013.

P. S. If the a cat and a dog use Ro.10:9 preach to all creation saying all they need is confess Jesus is Lord

with their mouths and believe in their hearts that Jesus is Savior they are saved!

This would mean that they are preaching a different gospel!

Different to the one gospel Jesus told them in Mark 16:16.

Different from what Peter preached in Acts 2:36-38.

Different from what Paul preached in Acts 16:30-34 and Acts 22:12-16.

Then this would be a classic example for the blind leads the blind both fall into a pit! Matt.15:14

According to what Apostle said in Gal.1:8 they will all be in hell together!
