Subject: Why denominations can't understand the truth in the Bible?
A 35 years old First Baptist Church Pastor read my sermon on my web site www.xilepingan.org and said he did not understand what I say!
The sermon is the one I prepared to deliver this coming Sunday, November 24, 2013.
The theme is How human mind works in relation to believe Jesus?
The main ideas in the sermon is this!
***When a human mind is taught and had adopted only these kinds of scriptures:
Ro.10:13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Ro.10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Eph.2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast.
***They will not be able to understand what says in Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, 22:16.
Whenever they came across these kinds of scriptures they skip through and not stick in the mind.
Because their minds are pre-occupied by the above kinds of scriptures!
***They will not even know, to understand Acts 16:30-31 correctly they have to read to verse 33!
***As I said in the sermon, this is how the god of this world blinded their minds!
Now let us find some other whys from what says in the Bible!
Please remember we believe and preach what says in the Bible!
*** Why can they not understand the one gospel preached by Apostle Paul?
(Yes, they will all tell you: They also believe and preach what says in the Bible!)
But the point is clear, whenever we ask this--> Is the name of your church in the Bible?
Not one, so far, can give the chapter and verse!
They all like to say: The name of the church is not important!
When they failed to admit that the name of their church is not in the Bible!
When they use the name of their church is not important to answer our question, according to what Jesus said in Matt.5:37,
they expose their true face--> they are from the devil!
They are lying and evasive, a true characteristic of the devil! John 8:44
Any of my brethren in the church do not recognize these points have to exam themselves to see whether they really believe Jesus is the Lord.
Or whether they really believe and teach what says in the Bible!
For Jesus said, in John 8:31-32!
True Jesus’ believers will know the truth and be free from sins!
Of course, unless they are like those Jews who having believed Jesus! But did not do what Jesus said!
(Please read the whole chapter to be sure about what I say here!)
Please study these scriptures carefully!
1. Paul said what kind of people are unable to know the gospel he had presented? 2 Cor.4:1-4.
2 Cor. 4:1 Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.
2Cor. 4:2 Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God.
On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
2Co 4:3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.
2Co 4:4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ,
who is the image of God.
2. 2 Thes.2:10-12
And in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing.
They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned
who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
3. Titus 3:10-11
Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time.
After that, have nothing to do with him.
You may be sure that such a man is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.
(Do I have to remind people with this--> divisive, factious, and denomination convey same meaning?)
4. Why do you think NIV Bible translate Proverb 2:7 this way and has become most common read Bible in English speaking world today?
a. Pro.2:7 He holds victory in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, (NIV)
b. Pro.2:7 He lay up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. (KJV)
c. Pro.2:7 He lay up sound wisdom for the upright; (He is) a shield to them that walk in integrity; (ASV)
5. 1Jn 3:10
This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are:
Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.
6. John 12:37-43
Jn 12:37 Even after Jesus had done all these miraculous signs in their presence, they still would not believe in him.
Jn 12:38 This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet: "Lord, who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?"
Jn 12:39 For this reason they could not believe, because, as Isaiah says elsewhere:
Jn 12:40 "He has blinded their eyes and deadened their hearts, so they can neither see with their eyes, nor understand with their hearts, nor turn-- and I would heal them."
Jn 12:41 Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus' glory and spoke about him.
Jn 12:42 Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him.
But because of the Pharisees they would not confess their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue;
Jn 12:43 for they loved praise from men more than praise from God.
This is also my conclusion for this article.
