1. Yes, Baptist denomination believe and practice baptism into water too! In fact this is why they were called Baptist denomination!2. Yes, there may be a few Baptist preachers preach baptism into water for remission of sins too! Does this enough to make the Baptist denomination acceptable to God? I say no!3. The why is in Acts 19:1-5 and 8:35-38B. You will agree with me if you know what the messages in Acts 19:1-5! And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper country came to Ephesus, and found certain disciples: and he said unto them, Did ye receive the Holy Spirit when ye believed? And they (said) unto him, Nay, we did not so much as hear whether the Holy Spirit was (given). And he said: Into what then were ye baptized? And they said, Into John's baptism. And Paul said, John baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people that they should believe on him that should come after him, that is, on Jesus. And when they heard this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. Point 1--> Into what were you baptized? They said: Into John’s baptism!Point 2--> They were baptized into John’s baptism!Point 3--> Paul said: John baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people that they should believe on Jesus!Point 4--> When they heard this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus!In point 1 we know these people were baptized with John’s baptism of repentance.In point 4 they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus!C. Attention: What persuaded these baptized people to be baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus?1. It was after they heard Paul said--> They should believe on Jesus!2. When they heard Paul said they should believe on Jesus. They were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus!3. Do you see the connection between believe on Jesus and baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus?4. Please repeat a few times on C.1.and 2. See if you really understand!D. Who were these people? I mean those baptized with John’s baptism of repentance, after hearing Paul said they should believe on Jesus, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus! Yes, who were these people? Acts 18:24-25 The scriptures: Meanwhile a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was a learned man, with a thorough knowledge of the Scriptures. He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spoke with great fervor and taught about Jesus accurately, though he knew only the baptism of John.1. Though he knew only the baptism of John.I say these people had been taught much better than all denomination people in the world!When they heard Paul said they should believe on Jesus. To be double sure, let us read Acts 8:35-38 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If you believe with all your heart, you may. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.Please figure it out for yourself and see the connection between believe on Jesus and be baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus!
