Me center mentality do not fit in the church of Christ!
A. Being fit in a church of Christ is the most important thing for all humanity in this world!
1. Because God grants those fit to be in a church of Christ the privilege to discover the sound wisdom He lay up in store!
I hope you know how to fit these three scriptures together to get this!
Pro. 2:7 and Ro. 14:17 and Ephesians 2:19! But if NIV is your only Bible, you are forever lost!
2. The Lord put the saved people in the church. Acts 2:47
What was the name of that church existed at that time?
Apostle Paul called those churches existed at that time, churches of Christ! Romans 16:16
3. Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness,
and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. James 1:21
4. The name of a church that is not in the Bible is enough to make that church unrighteous!
This alone will disqualify the people in that church to know the sound wisdom which God lay up!
B. What it takes to be fit in a church of Christ?
If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God;
if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God give:
that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:11
1. To be in a church of Christ you have to preach words from the mouth of God!
2. Reason for so doing--> That God in all things may be glorified ,,,!
3. Now, do you know why people like to compare with bigger church building, many more people in their church,
their kind of church are more common in their neighborhood….?
4. When you say--> Here is a Roman Catholic Church, there is a Roman Catholic Church,…
Who do you think you are glorifying!?
When you say--> Look here is such a grand Lutheran Church, Methodist Church…..
Who do you think you are glorifying?
5. But when you say, hay, here is a big church of Christ with such a grand building.
There is another church of Christ!
Look, so many people coming out from there, their worship must just over!
Who do you think that you are glorifying! --> CHRIST!
6. A church with other kinds of name, to the least, I will say they rob glory that belong to Christ!
This is one sin enough to get them in hell!
Now why do you think that I know how to say this?!
7. Anytime when churches of Christ are everywhere, we know God is glorified, society is at peace!
8. This was supposed to be, when the angel announced the birth of Christ! Luke 2:14
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests. Luke 2:14
Denominationalism ruined everything!
C. Be attentive on the feelings of others!
1. 1 Cor.10:27-31--> If some unbeliever invites you to a meal and you want to go,
eat whatever is put before you without raising questions of conscience.
But if anyone says to you, "This has been offered in sacrifice," then do not eat it,
both for the sake of the man who told you and for conscience' sake--
the other man's conscience, I mean, not yours. …
2. 1 Cor.10:32-33--> Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God--
even as I try to please everybody in every way.
For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved.
3. 1 Peter 3:1-6--> wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word,
they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives.
4. 1 Peter 3:7--> Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives,
and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
5. 1 Peter 3:12--> For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer,
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
D. Conclusion:
Matt. 5:16--> Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Eph 5:15-16--> Be very careful, then, how you live-- not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
