Believe Jesus what does it mean?
A. This is what believe Jesus mean! John 8:31-32-->
Jesus therefore said to those Jews that having believed him, If ye abide in my word, are ye truly my disciples;
and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
1. Believe Jesus means abide in his word!
2. Believe Jesus means you are truly a disciple of Christ.
3. Believe Jesus means you will know the truth.
4. Believe Jesus means the truth shall make you free from sins.
5. Items 3 and 4 are evidences of item 1 and 2.
B. Here are easiest ways to test whether you really believe Jesus!
1. Is the name of the church which you associate with written in the Bible?
2. Do you know the meaning of Matt.5:17-48?
3. Do you know the specific uses of Mark.16:16 and Romans 10:9?
4. Do you understand the meaning of Acts 9:17-18?
Ananias went to the house and entered it.
Placing his hands on Saul, he said: Brother Saul, the Lord—
Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here--
has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul's eyes, and he could see again.

Read Acts 22:3-16 and pay special attention to 22:16.
With this hint and you still do not understand Acts 9:17-18 correctly, you do not really believe Jesus!
6. Do you understand the conversion of Cornelius and his family correctly? Acts 10:1-11:18
If you do not know the truth like these, you do not really believe Jesus! And you are not free from sins!
For Jesus said, you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free from sins!

C. Believe Jesus means put to death the misdeeds of the flesh! Romans 8:13
1. These are the misdeeds of the flesh believers are to put to death: Gal.5:19-21 -->
Works of the flesh--> adultery, fornication, uncleanness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, wrath, factious, ??, strife,
heresies, envy, drunkenness, ??lasciviousness,
2. Believe Jesus means you cannot do any of these things listed above!
3. Believe Jesus means live a life doing these following things: Gal.5:22-23
love, ??, joy, peace. patience, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, kindness, Self-control.
D. Apostle Peter put believe Jesus this way! 1 Peter 2:11-19
1. Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against your soul. 1 Peter 2:11
2. Live such good lives among the unbelievers that, though they accuse you of doing wrong,
they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us. 1 Peter 2:12
3. Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king,
as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. 1 Peter 2:13-14
4. For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men. 1 Peter 2:15
5. Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God. 2:16
6. Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king. 2:17
7. Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh.
For it is commendable if a man bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because he is conscious of God. 1 Peter 2:!8-19
