You must clear the debt of sin before the death of flesh!

You must clear the debt of sin before the death of flesh!

A. Each human has the debt of sin! Romans 3:23

1. For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.

2. What is sin?

     a. 1 John 3:4 Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.

     b. 1 John 5:17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.    c. James 4:17

Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins.3. Many kinds of sins!.

    a. Remember true Jesus believers are able not to do sin! John 8:31-32

    b. Here is a list of many kinds of sins: Romans 1:28-31

        1. Do not like to retain God in their knowledge. 2. unrighteousness. 3. fornication. 4. wickedness,

        5. covetousness. 6. maliciousness. 7. envy. 8. murder. 9. strife. 10. deceit. 11. malice. 12. gossips.

      13. slanderers. 14. God-haters. 15. despiteful. 16. proud. 17. boasters. 18. inventers of evil things.

      19. disobey parents. 20. without understanding. 21. covenant breaker. 22. without natural affection. (heartless) 23. unmerciful.

4. The judgment of God is this they that do such things are worthy of death… Romans 1:32

5. In reality, we see every day, many people do many of these sins, but we see no instant death of the body!

Therefore, worthy of death may not be the death of the body!

6. Romans 6:23 re-enforce this--> The wages of sin is death!

But we see no death of the body with people who for a long time doing these sins!

7. Therefore it must be this death-==>

But for the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers,

    and idolaters, and all liars, their part (shall be) in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone;

which is the second death. Revelation 21:8

This is death of the soul! Eze.18:20, Luke 16:22-23

B. Why do I say--> You must clear the debt of sin before the death of flesh!

1. Jesus say it this way:

If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away.

It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. Matt.5:29

And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away.

It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.  Matt.5:30

2. We all know how painful it is to gouge out one’s eye and cut off one’s hand!

But these, Jesus said, are better than for your souls to be thrown into hell!

3. Make not mistake about it.  Souls in hell will still beg for mercy!

The rich man also died and was buried.

And in Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torments,

and sees Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.  And he cried and said, Father Abraham,

    have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue;

for I am in anguish in this flame. Luke 16:22-24

C. In sequence here are 3 ways to keep sins away from you!

1. Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.

And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38

What are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away… Acts 22:16

Before you can be baptized, you must first believe is Jesus Lord and turn away from your sins.

2. Confess and reconcile your sins between brothers in the church. Matt.18:15-17

If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you.

If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.

But if he will not listen, take one or two others along,

so that every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.

If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church,

treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

3. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

D. Conclusion:

Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matthew 5:48

Please read John 17:20-21, then you will know how to do this! Then Acts 2:47, Ro.16:16, Col.1:18.

May the Lord bless you and bless you  always!  Preach this on April 6, 2014.
