Western off knot style cannot know the truth in the Bible!
A. This is what I mean!
1. Faith in God and daily living are two separate identities!
2. When a family eat together around a dinner table two things are not to talk about!
One is faith in God, another is which political party you will vote for!
3. They think this is the best way for a family to live together in peace!
They glorify this practice and would like to make all people in the world do the same!
They call it Western democracy!
4. Even husband and wife may choose their own faith in God and which political party they will vote!
5. California's former governor is a classic example!
He is a die-hard Republican, his wife is a die-hard democrat!
When the governor ran for his second term if governorship.
She came out to say, I am a democrat, but this time I vote for a Republican for our next governor!
6. I know of a family with 4 children they went to 5 different churches.
B. Take what I need for the time being life style!
1. Marriage is about a man needs a woman and a woman needs a man for the time being!
2. Just happened at the time each fit the other's needs, they got married!
3. Their marriage usually last for as long as they both do not find another fit their needs better!
4. When comes to believe in God, it is the same!
Someone had said! Believe in God or join a church is like choosing a restaurant for dinner!
People go to different restaurant for different taste of food!
This is why we need to have different kinds of churches!
So that more people may go to church of their choice!
C. When comes to faith in God these are what they do!
1. When study about the life of Peter or Paul...
They search the Bible gather all the pieces of scriptures about Peter.
They fit all pieces together and they got a very good story about Peter!
2. Some how when comes to what must I do to get into the kingdom of God to have eternal life?
They do put up the same efforts!
3. As great and eloquent as Billy Graham!
He picked John 3:16-->
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
4. He is satisfied and pick many other scriptures to compliment with John 3:16,
With his eloquence and popularity, he became the greatest evangelist in our time!
5. He said: Whoever believes in Jesus shall not perish but have eternal life! John 3:16.
6. Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-- you and your household. Acts 16:31
7. That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord,"
and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
8. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--
and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast. Eph.2:8-9
9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
Then made this conclusion-->
Now that by the grace of God, we are all here for the occasion!
If you like to have eternal life, come out here in front of this pulpit confess your sins,
God is faithful and just! God will forgive all your sins and purify you from all unrighteousness!
Come, all you need is to repeat this after me: Lord Jesus,
I confess that you are my Lord, please forgive all of my sins! In the name of Jesus Christ I sincerely pray this prayer!
Now, open your eyes, congratulation you are saved!
D. It took me about 20 years to find out all the scriptures he quoted was out of context!
1. John 3:16--> For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
If you pay attention to the first word “for” you will know that you have start with verse one!
In steps and sequence then you will find John 3:16 convey the same message as Mark 16:16!
2. Ac 16:31 They replied: Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-- you and your household.
If you read on to 16:33 then you will know eternal life salvation is after water baptism!
3. Ro 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,"
and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
With God’s mercy, if you notice Romans 1:7
you will know this verse is for the saved in the church!
4. Eph 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--
and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast.
If God’s time is for you to have eternal life, the you will find, Eph.2:8-9 is for the saved in the church
so that they will not be confused by the group of heretic in Acts 15:1-28.
5. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
This is also for the saved in the church. For those had been baptized for forgiveness of sins!
Life after baptism is not easy, we will still commit sins, it is for these sins that we go to God to ask for forgiveness!
