The severe side of God!A. The world has been preaching the loving side of God for 1500 years!1. Jn.3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 2. Ro.5:8 But God commends his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 3. 2Co 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 4. 1Jn 4:16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love…B. I think it is time human realize the severe side of God! 1. Ge.19:24-26 Then the LORD rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah— from the LORD out of the heavens. Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, including all those living in the cities-- and also the vegetation in the land. But Lot's wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt. 2. Jude 1:7 In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire. 3. Rev.6:12-17 And I saw when he opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became as blood; and the stars of the heaven fell unto the earth, as a fig tree cast her unripe figs when she is shaken of a great wind. And the heaven was removed as a scroll when it is rolled up; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the princes, and the chief captains, and the rich, and the strong, and every bondman and freeman, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains; and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that 6th on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: for the great day of their wrath is come; and who is able to stand?C. Why forsake the assembling of ourselves together is so severe? Heb.10:25-311. Let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-- and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Heb.10:252. It is a deliberately keep on sinning. Heb.10:26-27 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 3. This is how severe it is! Heb.10:28-29 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know him who said, "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," and again, "The Lord will judge his people." a. When the baptized people forsake the assembling of ourselves together the church is no more!b. This make Christ came to build the church invalid! Matt.16:18c. This make Christ has no place to add the saved into! Acts 2:47d. This make Christ purchase the church with his own blood a stupid act! Acts 20:28e. This makes Christ, the Savior empty handed! Eph.5:23f. This makes Christ, the head without a body! Col.1:18D. It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Heb.10:311. This is how dreadful it will be--> This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Matt.13:49-502.
