Why must you attend Bible study on weekdays?
A. This is one of those times you can get your hard earned money worth!
1. As Apostle Paul wrote: Phil.4:14-20
Giving on Sunday worship in support of the preaching of the Gospel is a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.
And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen. Phil.4:18-20
2. Some of you have given generously in support of the Lord’s work!
So please make time to get your money worth! Come join us in study of the Bible on weekdays!
3. God intends to give you more! Matt.13:12
Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance.
Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.
4. Because you are blessed to be in a church of Christ! Matt.13:16
But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.
B. You must grow up in your salvation!
1. Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity,
not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God. Heb. 6:1
2. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, by it you may grow up in your salvation, 1 Pe.2:2
3. It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists,
and some to be pastors and teachers, prepare God's people for works of service,
so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God
and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves,
and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Eph.4:11-14
C. So you can help do these!
1. Be elders in the church help encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it!
Rather he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined.
He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught,
so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.
For there are many rebellious people, mere talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision group.
They must be silenced, because they are ruining whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach—
and that for the sake of dishonest gain. Titus 1:8-11
2. Know who really teach what says in the Bible and stay away from them! 2 John 1:9-11
Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God;
whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.
If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him.
Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work.
3. Increase the measure of these virtues so you can be sure of your salvation in the Lord! 2 Peter 1:5-11
Faith, courage, knowledge, self-control, patience, godliness, love for brothers and love for all people!
4. Help detect people distort what Paul wrote in the Bible to their own destruction! 2 Peter 3:15-18
5. Help contend the truth in the Bible once for all entrusted to the saints. Jude 1:3
D. Count you blessings that you are in a church of Christ!
1. The Lord himself personally put you in there. Acts 2:47
2. The church of Christ is the kingdom of God. Ehp.2:19, 1 Peter 2:9.
3. The church of Christ is not about eating and drinking, it is about righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Romans 14:17, Proverb 2:7
4. Only Those God enables can make it to the church of Christ. John 6:44
No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.
5. In here you are granted to know denomination is warped, sinful and self-condemned! Titus 3:10-11
Denomination people will proudly announce to the world they are so and so denomination church….!
They may study their Bible and pray to God daily for 1000 years, they will still not know these truth!
6. You may ask, why do I have such confidence?
Because Jesus had declare this 2000 years ago in Matt.13:11!
Jesus replied: The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you,
but not to them. Matt.13:11
Do you know who are these "you"?
These "you" were members of what church?
Please figure out who are the "them" in Matt.13:11 for yourselves!
